is a hands-on position where the candidate will not only manage a team and other resources but also
design and build sites as an individual contributor. A strong background in visual design is preferred.
Hands-on experience designing with web-authoring tools such as Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver,
Fireworks, Adobe programs (Photoshop and Illustrator), and HTML programs is a requirement.
Working knowledge of Javascript and cascading style sheets a plus.
This role will require strong communication and graphic design skills and a proven ability to take
complex topics and tasks and simplify them into well-designed and highly functional web tools and
sites. He or she will work side-by-side with writers and project managers on the Retail
Communications team. The ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and IT experts and
understand our technical infrastructure is also essential.
Qualifications:
• 7-10 years in intranet or web design and management, including leadership experience with a team
• 5-7 years hands-on design skills with a broad range of design and presentation technologies,
including Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator and HTML
• Strong database skills including experience with SQL Server, Business Objects and Access
• Visual design aptitude and experience, including work with illustration, graphics, design grids and
typography; knowledge and experience with video and audio a plus
• Experience working with all levels of management to assess business needs and present high-
quality online solutions in short timeframes
• Management experience; ability to build and manage a strong team
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; track record with simplification of complex information
