Boselli Award of Excellence Scholarship - 2011

FACT SHEET
The Boselli Award of Excellence Scholar-Athlete College Scholarship consists of onetime gifts of $5,000.00 to one female and $5,000.00 to one male student-athlete for use at any accredited University or Community College. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to receive a Boselli Award of Excellence, the applicant shall:

Maintain a 3.0+ GPA (on an unweighted 4.0 scale) from an accredited high school in Floridas First Coast area Participate in a junior varsity or varsity sport or its equivalent (dance, gymnastics, tae-kwondo) Participate in extra-curricular activities through church, school and community Exhibit exemplary behavior, thereby being a good role model for peers Pledge to remain drug-free, alcohol-free and tobacco-free Complete the application process by published deadline of senior year of high school

SELECTION CRITERIA

The following factors will be considered in selecting the scholarship recipients:

Athletic commitment participation in varsity, intramural or youth league sport(s) Career goals Christian outreach / community service Communication skills both written and oral Good citizenship Involvement in extracurricular activities Leadership qualities Positive attitude Presentation of application packet neatness and organization Recommendations of Guidance Counselor, Coach and Minister Relationship with peers and superiors Scholastic record

Applications are available at area high school guidance departments as well as through direct request made to the Gator Bowl Association. The application deadline for this grant cycle can be received electronically (rleverock@gatorbowl.com) or must be postmarked by Thursday, November 10, 2011. Scholarship recipients will be selected by December 15th and the awards will be presented at the Gator Bowl Fellowship Breakfast on Thursday, December 29, 2011.
