FORCE
Meaning of Force:
Force is an influence that may cause a body to accelerate. It may be experienced as a
lift, a push, or a pull, and has a magnitude and a direction. An object experiences a
force when it is pushed or pulled by another object. For example to set the cart in
motion push or pull is required. In other words we can say that in many situations in
order to set an object in motion, we push and pull that object. This push or pull on an
object is called force like to hit a ball a batsman pushes the ball with bat.

Types of Force:
1. Muscular Force
2. Force Of Gravity
3. Frictional Force
4. Magnetic Force
5. Electrostatic Force
1. Muscular Force :
The force which is related to the push or pull of things in our daily
routine work is called the muscular force. In this type of force we can use our muscles to
push or pull the things from one place to the other place. For example: to pull a cart by
horses, to chew the food etc.

2. Force Of Gravity :
Gravitation, the force of attraction between all objects that tends
to pull them toward one another. In other words each falling object has the tendency to
move towards earth. This force due to which each object is attracted towards earth is
called force of gravity. This is the force, which makes earth revolve around then sun.
3. Frictional Force :
Force also changes the speed of the objects. Friction is type of
force that slows down the moving objects or opposes the objects to move. In other words
we can say that force of friction comes into existence whenever one surface moves over
the other surface. For example: when we stop a ball to move then it speeds come slow
down.
4. Magnetic Force :
The thing which has the property of attraction is called the
magnetic force. A strong magnet is used to pick up scraps of iron from the garbage. It is
using force to lift iron pieces. This force is called magnetic force.
5. Electrostatic Force :
The forces produced as a result of charges is known as the
electrostatic force. For example when you rub a comb into your dry hair for some time
and takes it near small bits of paper, you will see the bits of paper are attracted by comb.
This is only due to the electrostatic force. This force is mainly used in factories to reduce
the air pollution.
Units of measurement :
Unit used to measure force is the NEWTON

Effect Of Force

1. Force can make a object to move :

2. Force can increase or decrease the speed of a moving object.

3. Force changes the direction of motion of a body.
4. Force can change the shape of a body.
