Religious Education Program for public/private school students:

A reminder that the parish offers a religious education program to those children who are not enrolled in separate schools. This program is for grades 1 through 8 and offers the curriculum established by the Bishops of Ontario for Catholic Schools. This program is a necessary part of the process. It is expected that parents take full advantage of this program. Those who register only for the sacramental years, especially those who withdraw after grade 2 and attempt to re-join in grade 8 will not be admitted to the sacramental preparation program without first meeting with a member of the pastoral staff.

Special Collection This Weekend

Music Notes
New Singers Welcome - 11 am & 12:30 pm Masses Choir directors welcome the opportunity to meet new people who enjoy singing. We encourage you to approach either Dan Kelly (12:30 Mass choir) or our Music Director Gordon Mansell (11:00 Chorale) to see if either of these choirs would be a good fit for your vocal energy. Children/Youth Choirs - 9:30 am Mass If you have children or teens with a love for singing, then contact Michele for the 9:30 choir. Please phone the office, leave your name and your interest and well get back to you. Accompanist Needed: We are also looking for an accompanist to help Michele during her Thursday afternoon rehearsals and then on every other Sunday. If you have piano skills and feel that you have a little time to share with a great group of children, please contact Michele or Gordon. New Roman Missal Over the next couple of months, our music settings will be changing for the responses and certain parts of the Mass. This is due to the revisions made in the English language Missal. These changes have resulted in the need for new music settings. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops has requested that we use one of three settings they have approved in addition to a more traditional Latin setting. We have started some of these changes this weekend with the Holy Holy and the Lamb of God and will continue over the next couple of months. All responses and Mass settings are to be introduced by the first week of Advent.
