EZ37“So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood

upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.” Ezekiel 37:10

EZ37 is an introduction to a lifestyle of day and night prayer at the Zadok House of Prayer (ZHOP).
The EZ37 internship is designed for those 24 and older, whether single or married, who desire to culti-
vate a lifestyle of prayer and may be considering joining ZHOP staff. Interns will experience the ZHOP
prayer room, receive teaching on the knowledge of God and the active pursuit of Christ, and will gain
deeper understanding on topics such as: prayer, fasting, the arts, worship, meditation on scriptures,
and the reality of the New Testament priesthood. All of this takes place in the context of a community
that continually sustains worships and prayer.

Goals of the EZ37 Internship

EZ37 is an entryway for adults to join ZHOP staff and to gain knowledge of a priesthood culture of
day and night prayer.

Internship goals:
- Participate in the ZHOP prayer room with understanding and enjoyment.
- Engage in fasting, meditation on Scripture, and different expressions of worship and prayer.
- To grow in the knowledge of God: His personality, His nature and attributes.
- Grow in confidence to hear Jesus’ voice and better understanding of how He leads His
friends
- Increase in understanding of the bridal paradigm.
- Develop prophetic gifts and confidence in ministry to others.
- Develop an expanding knowledge of the New Testament Priesthood.

Jesus told His disciples that “I came to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!”
If we walk down “the ancient paths” of prayer, fasting and meditation on the Bible we are engaging
ourselves in the ways of God that cultivate a heart that burns with fiery affection for Jesus and what
He loves. The EZ37 internship will allow you to discover these spiritual disciplines in new ways,
learning about the pitfalls and practical means of what can be called a “fasted lifestyle”. A fasted
lifestyle, simply stated, is one where a person will push away from the table of both legal and illegal
pleasures in order to spend time with God, to draw near to Him.

Moses’ greatness in the broad context of human history was due to the same reality that any person
of authentic spiritual depth has experienced: they walked in God’s ways because they wanted to
be close to Him. Likewise in the scriptures we see David’s priority: the ‘one thing’ he asked for
and sought out was to grow in his awareness of God’s thoughts and feelings. Jesus’ own disciples
would also push past the lure of lesser pleasures to know the Savior’s company. To know the place
available to any saint who would want Jesus more than in a fleeting way, those who would set their
course in the ways of God – prayer, worship, ministry of the word – and who consider Him their ‘great
reward’. This internship is a venue for growing in God’s ways so that we might be set before Him as
a people who bless Him night and day in prayer, made possible as we learn what He wants to do and
we persistently ask with confidence for His will to be done on the earth as it is in heaven.

Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
psalm 1:1-2

CURRICULUM
The EZ37 curriculum is comprised of three components: the ZHOP prayer room, weekly night classes,
and involvement in the ZHOP community. The prayer room is the central operation of ZHOP and
the emphasis of each of our training programs. Interns can expect to spend many hours per week in
the ZHOP prayer room ministering to the Lord through prayer and worship. Night classes are aimed
at teaching, instructing, and ministering exclusively to ZHOP interns. Specifically, time will be spent
learning the harp and bowl model of worship, the tenets of the fasted lifestyle, and the biblical basis
for day and night prayer. Finally, EZ37 participants will join the ZHOP community by attending weekly
meetings at the House of Prayer - including staff meetings and Encountering God Services. Addition-
ally, interns will be called to join in times of corporate fasting with the ZHOP staff.

The EZ37 internship is a 3 month time frame of commitment to growth in prayer. The Zadok House
of Prayer offers this several times a calendar year. Contact us via our web site (www.zhop.org) for
information on this or one of the other internships we offer. Information on housing and visits to our
missions base is also available.
EZ37 - Internship

Greg and Caryn Burnett are providing leadership for the EZ37 internship. They
have 4 children and have lived in the Charlotte metropolitan area for 8 years.

Greg has a BA in Biblical Studies from the Austin Graduate School of Theology.
He worked for the national March for Jesus office in the early 90s. Greg and
Caryn participated in several YWAM schools, including the School of Interces-
sion in Chicago, IL. The Burnetts lived in California for several years, working
on staff with Ed Silvoso of Harvest Evangelism. During that time they were
involved with prayer mobilization and leadership in several citywide outreach
initiatives. Some time after moving to Charlotte in the late 90s, God had them
begin several ‘harp and bowl’ prayer gatherings in various churches around the
city for 3 years. When Kirk and Dee Bennett led a team out of the KC-IHOP
to Charlotte at the end of 2005, Greg and Caryn joined in to help them in their
pursuit of night and day prayer in Charlotte. Greg is also a friend and consultant
with the Charlotte 24-7 boiler room team as well as other teams working to build
night and day prayer in various cities around the world.
