DECLARATION OF GARY WIESE I, Gary Wiese, declare and state: 1.

I am over 18 years of age and a resident of the State of California. I have personal knowledge of the statements contained in this declaration and could competently testify thereto, except where I have indicated that a statement is made on information and belief, in which case I firmly believe the statement to be true. 2. I am and have been a staff member of the Church of Scientology at Golden Era Productions (including earlier names for the same function) for thirty five years. 3. I have been informed that Chris Guider has made statements in an interview given in Australia in which he makes claims concerning circumstances that supposedly involve me and executives of the Church. 4. A specific executive mentioned by Chris Guider in relation to the 2005 incident he describes is Mr. David Miscavige, Chairman of the Board, Religious Technology Center. I have known Mr. Miscavige for 35 years. I met him within my first year on staff, in 1977. 5. That Chris Guider claims Mr. Miscavige issued an order for Guider to hit or strike me is ludicrousI know of no such order ever being issued. I was not the victim of any such attack by Chris Guider. And more importantly, Mr. Miscavige would never issue such an order in the first place. 6. Throughout my thirty-five years working for the Church of Scientology I have worked with Mr. Miscavige very closely on hundreds and hundreds of occasions in different capacities. I have witnessed Mr. Miscavige direct or communicate with scores and scores of individuals, from high executives to low-level staff, from pubic individuals to professionals. In over three decades I have never seen or heard him issue an order to physically attack another. 7. In these same thirty-five years I have personally been the benefactor of generous actions by Mr. Miscavige in the form of support, acknowledgement of jobs well done and in friendship. 8. Chris Guider was never a friend of mine. He was another staff member with whom I interacted rarely. At best it was a casual relationship with neither close communication nor animosity.

9. In nearly four decades my wife, Susann, and I consider Mr. Miscavige one of our closest friends. Mr. Miscavige would not consider harming me in any wayit is contrary to the nature of our enduring friendship.
