Front Office Manager

Basic Functions : Responsible for the training, supervision, conduct and grooming of
the Bellmen, Doormen, and Drivers.

To bring up the standard of subordinated service to the level of


guest’s and management’s expected.

Primary Duties :

1. To assist the Assistant Front Office Manager in planning and coordinating the
department objectives, and to assist in communicating this information to the staff.

2. To inform the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager of any problem
areas that may occur to the Concierge Department.

3. To schedule employees according to the demands of arriving and departing guest.

4. To report guest’s complaints and anything amiss to the Assistant Front Office Manager
and Front Office Manager.

5. To train staff regarding ;

a. Checking in and out procedures relating to the work of Bellmen


b. Correct methods of handling of luggage’s, opening of car doors, parking of guest or
clients vehicles, and paging.
c. Operating the elevators.
d. Explaining room facilities to guest
e. Selling hotel facilities

6. To work closely with the other sections of Front Office.

7. To handle all incoming and outgoing ( message, parcel, and mail ) for guest.

8. Be updated on arrivals / departures of FIT, Group and VIP list.

9. Be updated information of the functions and other activities in the hotel.

10. To provide personalised service to the guest.

11. Should be permanently reviewed and updated contents;

a. Shopping
b. Tourist Information
c. Bus Schedules
d. Sight seeing Information
e. Train Schedules
f. Telephone Book
g. Flight Schedules
h. Brochures

12. To be familiar with Front Office Policies and Procedures, Job Description and Employee
Handbook.
13. Perform other duties, which are assigned by the superior from time to time.

removed by your immediate superior according to pressure of work.
