1. Start window
This is the start window of Q-WIN S.

A user can only see those items that are made available in the user group policy. The user group policy specifies the access levels for Q-WIN users. Screen Editor Edit management screens and statistical reports. System Configuration Settings for the Q-WIN server.

2. Q-WIN client menus


The following menus are available in the Q-WIN client.

A user can only see those menus or menu items that are made available in the user group policy. The user group policy specifies the access levels for Q-WIN users.

File

Log Out Log out from Q-WIN. The start window is closed and the log in dialogue is opened. Save As Save a management screen or a statistical report as a file. Print Print a management screen or a statistical report. Printer Setup Select a printer and change the printer settings. Printer Margins Specify the margins for a printed document. Send To Send a management screen or a statistical report as an email message.

Window Options Customise the user interface. Exit Exit Q-WIN.

Management

Web Management Screens Open the web window with management screens. Dockable Management Screens Open the dock window for management screens. Management Category Information, Management Q-WIN, Management Workstation Information Here you find a list of all management screens that are available in the Q-WIN client.

Statistics

Statistical reports This is a list of all statistical reports that are available. Selected Auto Statistics This is a list of all reports that are automatically printed. Auto Statistics Selector Select those reports that should be printed automatically.

Define Hot Keys Hot keys can make the job at the Q-WIN client easier. Alarm to Workstation Send alarms to workstations. Import Database Import information to the Q-WIN database. Transfer Settings Transfer ticket numbers from one Q-WIN system to another Q-WIN system. Priority Settings Specify the priorities used to call ticket numbers.

Branch Selector Connect the Q-WIN client to another Q-WIN server. Transfer statistics from one Q-WIN system to another Q-WIN system. Synchronise Q-WIN databases. View Error Log The error log is used to debug the Q-WIN system.

Arrange the windows opened in Q-WIN.

Open the Q-WIN help or get information about the Q-WIN system.

3. Ticket Selector
Select which ticket to be printed when a ticket button is pressed. Select "Ticket Selector" from the start window or select "Ticket Selector" from the Utilities menu.

Select one button from the Buttons list.

Select the ticket to be assigned to the selected button.

Click on "Preview ticket" to preview the ticket.

Click on OK to confirm the selection.

4. Q-WIN client statistical reports


Follow this instruction to print a statistical report. Note that the example in this Quick Guide does not explain the different options in the report settings. Most often you can follow this example. Please refer to the Q-WIN Users Guide if you need more information. Select a report from the Statistics menu.

Click on the settings icon.

Click on the first line in the bottom list.

Select the branches that should be included in the report.

Click on "Date".

Select the date or dates that the report should cover. Click on a date to select it.

Select the parts of the system that should be included in the report. Note that this selection is only necessary if you want to exclude parts of the system from the report. All parts of the system are included by default.

Click on the "Date, Time" tab.

Select the time range of the report. Enter a "Time from" and a "Time to".

Click on OK.

Select "Print" from the File menu to print the report.

5. Web statistical reports


Start the web interface of Q-WIN, if it is not already done. Select "Statistical Reports" in the web window or on the web menu.

In the statistics window: Select a statistical report. Click on the "Branch" tab. Select the branches that should be included in the report. Click on the "Settings" tab, Select the parts of the system that should be included in the report. Click on the "View" tab. Select the way the information should be presented in the report. Click on the "Show result" tab to display the report.

When you are finished using the web client for Q-WIN, remember to log out properly by clicking the log out icon. Otherwise, it will take about 30 minutes for Q-WIN to release the lock on that user licence.
