MBA EVENING PROGRAMME:

The Department runs a 3-Year MBA (Evening) primarily for the working executives and professionals. The programme is identical to the Programme 2-year MBA (full-time) Programme in terms of number of the subjects, syllabus, pedagogy, and evaluation, except that it is run in the evening and therefore spread over 3 years, and that the participants of the programme do not have to undergo Summer Training.

The eligibility criteria is as follows: (i) any graduate having secured at least 50% (45% for SC/ST Candidates) marks in aggregate at graduation level, Should have worked at Supervisory level (in public limited companies, public corporations, manufacturing, services or utility firms, Government or education institutions) for at least Three years after the graduation. The period of experience shall be considered only after the date of graduation marksheet and up to July 31 of the year in which admission is sought. During the 3 years of experience, the candidate should be working on a full-time basis. Part time / casual employment will not be considered as relevant experience in determining the eligibility. Experience such as trainee, apprentice, clerk, operator, assistant, front-line sales persons, sales associates, or such similar

positions will not be considered. Teaching experience should be at an undergraduate or postgraduate level in the University or ant affiliated colleges in a field related to management. Running of a tuition class or coaching class or similar activities will not be considered as relevant experience. (iii) The place of work (office, site, manufacturing plant, service utility) from where the candidate shall be commuting to the Department of Business & Industrial Management should be located within 40 kms. radial distance considering VNSGU Campus / Evening Programme Centre as the centre point, at the time of application and admission. The candidate will have to produce a No Objection Certificate signed by the competent officer of the organization where the candidate is working at the time of admission. Reservation: 1. 50% for those who have either graduated from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University or have done HSC from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University area or both. 2. 50% for graduates of other Universities, including Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

Admission Procedure Admission to MBA will be done through Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET - 2011) only. The last date for filling up Application form for GCET-2011 is June 18, 2011.
