DSS Regional Offices

If you or someone you know suffered a disaster-related expense anytime
between August 27 to September 25th you may be eligible for D-
Applications only SNAP, or Disaster SNAP (Food Stamps).

D-SNAP is a federal response to Connecticut being declared a disaster
after Tropical Storm Irene. D-SNAP is different from SNAP as the income

Hartford It is a one- time maximum benefit that is granted at the time of

Loss of income (including self-employment)) having to eat out due to
inability to cook at home, roof repairs, dependent care (paying more
for electricity and food because of housing relatives or friends during
this period),storage costs, temporary shelter costs, repair or replace
property of household items, including self-employment property and
cost of storm related preparations.
