STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Friends, we have come here today at the invitation of Chris and Sarah to share in the occasion

of their vow renewal and rededication of their marriage and family to God. This celebration is an expression of the inner love and devotion they have for God, their family, and one another. Jesus Christ reminds us that at the beginning the creator made us male and female, and said, For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh. God loved us, and created us to love others. Our lives find completion as we love and are loved in return. Marriage is a sacred vow before God and is of God. Chris and Sarah come today in order to renew this vow before God and before you as their witness. PRAYER: Minister Heavenly Father, we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are

called according to his purpose. May this celebration be highlighted with a deep sense of Your presence and Your purpose, may it bring honor and glory to Your name. In Jesus name. Amen. TO GROOM: Christopher James Bigger, do you take Sarah Renee MartindaleBigger to be your wife to live and love together in the sight of God, so long as you both shall live? If so, answer, I do. TO BRIDE: Sarah Renee MartindaleBigger, do you take Christopher James Bigger to be your husband to live and love together in the sight of God, so long as you both shall live? If so, answer, I do. SCRIPTURE READING: Olivia I Corinthians 13:1-8 says, If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains,

but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. Please join hands. THE MARRIAGE VOWS TO GROOM: Will you make this vow to Sarah, repeating after me? I promise to encourage your compassion, Because that is what makes you unique and wonderful. I promise to nurture your dreams, Because through them your soul shines. I promise to help shoulder our challenges,

For there is nothing we cannot face if we stand together with God as our center. I promise to be your partner in all things, Not possessing you, but working with you, with all of my heart, in all that we do, as we work for the Lord. Lastly, I promise to you perfect love and perfect trust, For one lifetime with you could never be enough. This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all. TO BRIDE: Will you make this vow to Chris, repeating after me? I promise to encourage your individuality, because that is what makes you unique and wonderful. I promise to nurture your dreams, because through them your soul shines. I promise to help shoulder our challenges, Because through them and with God as our center, we'll emerge stronger. I promise to be your partner in all things, Not possessing you, but working with

you, with all of my heart, in all that we do, as we work for the Lord. I promise to share with you the joys of life, because with you they will be that much sweeter. Lastly, I promise to you perfect love and perfect trust, for one lifetime with you could never be enough. This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all. THE EXCHANGE OF RINGS The minister shall ask for each ring. Though small in size, these rings are large in significance. Made of precious metal, they remind us that love is not cheap or common. As a matter of fact, love may cost us dearly. Made in a circle, their design tells us that love must never come to an end; it remains continuous. As you wear these rings, whether together or apart for a moment, may they be constant reminders of the commitment you made to one another twelve years ago and the renewal of that commitment you are making today.

The giver places the ring on the ring-finger of the others hand and repeats as the minister instructs: I give you this ring, as a symbol of my vow, and with all that I am and all that I have, I honor you; in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen LIGHTING OF THE UNITY CANDLE (Music playing softly during reading) True love is and must always be, a free gift with no conditions attached. The essential message of unconditional love is one of liberation. You can be whoever you are, express all your thoughts and feelings with absolute confidence. You do not have to be fearful that love will be taken away. You will not be punished for your openness or honesty. There is no admission price to love, no rental fees or installment payments to be made. There may be days when disagreements and disturbing emotions may come between you. There may be times when thoughts or physical miles may lie between you. But you have given each other the word

of your commitment. You have set your life on a new course. You should not go back on your word to each other. So feel free to be yourselves. One thing we all know and should share with each other...we are committed to each others growth and happiness. Above all else, never take each other for granted and always love each other, because true love is unconditional. Candle is lit by the family. PRAYER FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM THE PRONOUNCEMENT OF MARRIAGE Minister joins the right hands of husband and wife and says: Now that Christopher James and Sarah Renee have rededicated themselves to each other by solemn vows, before us and before God as witness, and have shown their affection and trust by giving and receiving of rings and by joining hands, I pronounce, once again that they are husband and wife, in the name of the

Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy-- to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (Jude 24-24) You may kiss your bride. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Bigger. There is no formal reception, Chris and Sarah will be back momentarily to dismiss and thank you individually.
