Teacher adds a whole number in front of improper fraction and asks how to say mixed numbers. Appendix 1 4. At the end of the activity, teacher will reveal the correct answer of each problem.

Lesson development Step 1 (30 minutes) Pupils identify the equivalent of improper fractions and mixed numbers. 1. Teacher show a diagrams of 4 set of pizzas that already cut into a several equal parts. Appendix 2 2. Teacher will ask students to count how part in 1 pizza. 3. Teacher picks a part of pizza one by one and pupils will count on it. 4. Pupils will stop count a part of pizza when teacher stop pick a pack of pizza. 5. Pupils will say the number of a part of pizza that teacher pick. 6. Teacher asks pupils add all parts of pizza that picked by teacher. 7. Teacher regroups all the parts of pizza become a whole of pizza and asks the number of whole pizza and remaining parts. 8. Teacher asks pupils the equivalent of improper fractions and mixed numbers. 9. Group pupils in 4 groups and give them set of question and 4 sets of pizza. 10. Let them to try answer the equivalent improper fractions and mixed numbers. 11. Teacher helps pupils have a problem to identify the equivalent of improper Appendix 2(a) fractions and mixed numbers.
