Incorporating revolution- ary technologies, the F-16's high performance made it an excellent ‘multi-role weapons system. To ensure that the aircraft would be able to handle changing mission requirements and be equipped with the latest Weapons, a Multinational Staged Improvement Program (MSIP) was instituted. F-16s that underwent the frst major improvement were called FA1GA/B Block 15, and they featured larger horizontal stabiizers, additonal hardpoints on the engine intake, and could carry AIM-120 air {o-air missiles.
