ANKH-In Egyptian hieroglyphics the word ankh means life. The ankh was originally a female symbol derived from primitive images of the goddess. It became known in Egypt as a sign of sexual union and the immortality of the gods, granted by the divine blood of the goddess. It is used in contemporary vampire and occult beliefs. The Septagram-A Qabbalistic symbol, the septagram incorporates the symbols of the sun, Venus, Mercury, the moon, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. Read clockwise, it represents the days of the week. Read counterclockwise it represents the Sephira of the Tree of Life.

The Mystic Star-This version of the Mystic Star, with seven enclosed points , is representative of the variations of the symbol used in various occult beliefs. The symbol is used as a talisman of protection. The number 7 is considered to be the number of God and may be used by a wide spectrum of belief systems. SPIRAL-Both single and double spirals were some of the most sacred symbols of ancient Europe. The spiral represents the idea of death and rebirth. The spiral also represents the serpent guardians of ancient Sumerian temples and can be found in almost all ancient cultures, including native American culture. Symbol of Thelema- also the Symbol of the Master Therion. Used by members of the magical societies Ordo Templi Orientis and Golden Dawn. The symbol was allegedly designed by Aleister Crowley and incorporates the number 666. That number represents the Beast from Revelation. Crowley called himself Mega Therion, meaning Great Beast. ORDO TEMPLI ORIENTIS- meaning Order of the Temple of the East, practices sex magic based on Tantric methods. It is a form of high magic performed in formal temples. In rituals, occult energy is raised within the body of a woman through intense and prolonged sexual arousal and the energy is channeled by priests who surround her. TRIANGLE-considered a strong occult symbol, the triangle is used in many occult belief systems. The triangle can represent fire and is considered a strong mystical symbol since it has three sides. The number 3 is important in that it can represent God.

Pentagram-an occult figure in the shape of a star with five points. The five points represent the five elements, earth, wind, water, fire, and spirit. The pentagram is used by many belief systems but is the primary symbol used by those practicing modern Wicca or witchcraft.

Pentacle-an occult diagram that is usually circular in shape. It incorporates the pentagram within a circle. Quite often the pentacle is used as a magical talisman or acts as a magical circle in rituals.

Inverted Pentagram- often considered the symbol of Satanism. The inverted pentagram is often used as a masculine symbol for the god in pagan beliefs. In Satanism the two raised points are said to represent Satan in power over the three points, which represent the Father, Son and Holy

Magical Circle-The circle is one of the primary feminine signs. It has been associated with the idea of protected or consecrated space. It is used in many occult rituals and is considered a safe place, when consecrated, where demons cannot follow.

SIGIL-A sigil is a seal or a sign. Sigils are frequently used in talismanic magic and are used to place a considerable amount of information on a small object such as a pendant. This sigil uses the mystical star and magical circle. Most sigils are made for individuals and are

GOD SYMBOL- This symbol is used to represent the masculine figure, or god, in many ritual systems. It will be used in marking sacred spaces and also used in grimories (Book of Shadows) which detail occult and pagan rituals.
