This document discusses how Christianity has been greatly influenced by Greco-Roman thought and the challenges that presents in understanding movements among Muslims who follow Christ. It argues that Gentile Christians often evaluate such movements through theological frameworks developed centuries later rather than considering how Christ and his earliest Jewish followers presented him. Applying Greco-Roman categories of orthodoxy can easily lead Christians to misunderstand cross-cultural expressions of faith that may differ from later creeds but still wholeheartedly accept Christ.
