INTRODUCTIO N 2nz Animation Co. is an Indian animation studio located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

It was started in 1996 by Kireet Khurana, who has been awarded the Presidents National Award for his work in animation.It is the animation division of Climb Media India Pvt. Ltd., spear-headed by animation film director Bhimsain.

Over the years, 2nz has produced over 300 commercials for companies including Coca-Cola, Cadbury and Kellogg's. It also produced the animated series Adventures of Chhota Birbal, which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2003 and featured the first Indian animation character to be licensed. 2nz is currently 2nz is an animation production house working on India's first live action/3D animation offering high-end 3D, 2D & Visual effects animation services. Series ADVENTURES OF CHHOTA BIRBAL premiered on Cartoon Network and is the 1st Indian animation character to be licenced.

SHORTS
"O" is a classic short about a man's
journey and his return to simplicity. The film was produced at Sheridan College, Canada and has won several awards including Silver Ebensee Bear, Festival Der Nationen, Austria and the coveted President's National Award, 1995. This film was also part of the Indian animation retrospective package in Annecy, Hiroshima, Forum De L'Image (Reunion Islands), Tehran and Zagreb Festivals besides others.

TRADE
Agency: UNICEF International Client: National Film Board of Canada Co-produced with the National Film Board of Canada and UNICEF, "TRADE" is an award-winning film addressing the sensitive issue of Child Prostitution. This film was part of the popular "Rights from the Heart" Series in which 21 Nations contributed animated shorts. TRADE has won the coveted Presidents National Award in 1998 and Special Mention at Digicon Festival, Japan. This film has screened at Annecy, Hiroshima, and Zagreb Festivals.

Agency: UNICEF International Client: National Film Board of Canada Co-produced in collaboration with the NFB, "LOCKED" is a touching story on child labour involved in the hazardous lock industy. Based on UNICEF's Convention for Child Rights, this film was part of the popular "Rights from the Heart" Series. LOCKED has been part of the Indian animation Package screened at Annecy, Hiroshima, Zagreb Festival etc.

CARRY ON ADVERTISING
Executed using Classical Cel animation and brushstrokes, Carry On Advertising, illustrates how advertising helps to attract mass attention. A Hen lays a couple of ordinary looking eggs as compared to the golden egg laid by the Goose. But the ordinary eggs attract more attention due to the persistent advertising by the Rooster and Hen. Screened at the prestigious ABBY Awards and on Sony Television in 2002.

ADVENTURES OF CHHOTA BIRBAL

This award-winning series is based on fictional stories this heartrendering series is inspired from Birbal (one of India's biggest icons of cleverness) and legendary King Akbar's younger days. Premiered on Cartoon Network in Oct. 2002, this series was a big success and created history by becoming the first animated character to be licensed in India. Also won the Seagate Technical Excellence Award for Best Animated Series.

STUDIO PROCESS
2nz animation has a niche set-up. 2nz take both creative and technical challenges, as they have hardened themselves with years of pioneering work. They therefore have formidable preproduction, production and post-production facilities. Their animation studio is a one-stop unit from script to screen.

Creativity:
The Writing Team hijacks the idea and visualises it through animated eyes. The director then takes over as master and guide. Characters and their attitudes are etched.The preproduction and storyboard team draws out a parameter for further development along with written dialogue. The artists research & develop on the look and the feel the characters and story. Ample playing space for the animation team to work with.

Sound:
