The Autobiography of Christopher Yancy

My name is Christopher Jamar Yancy, and I am 17 years old. I go to Lake Highlands

High School in Dallas, Texas, where I am currently a junior as we speak. I have also been
in my school choir for the last 8 years and this year I am in Varsity Choir. I’ve written
nearly 250 + songs. I am an R&B singer and I love doing what I do. I also rap every once
in a while, but no one barely hears it. I’ve written very deep things at a young age, also
I’m a very humble person, I do have a sense of humor every once in my while .I am also
a very passionate writer, I like for my audience to feel my music.

-Participated in Black History Play

-Also made All District Choir (The Best of Richardson, the only boy from my school to

- I received a scholarship for voice lessons for the 2nd consecutive year
- Got a # 1 rating for a solo that I sung at the RISD Solo and Ensemble

- Won an Outstanding Superior Solo at the U.I.L Competition (Allen, Texas)
- Won an Outstanding Ensemble at the U.I.L Competition (Allen, Texas)

I received a scholarship again for voice lessons for the 3rd consecutive year
-Was 3 spots off from making the All Region Choir
-Participated in a school wide talent show called “Varsity Revue”
I sung a solo “Can I Take You Out Tonight “– Sung by Luther Vandross
Got a # 2 in a solo at the 06 RISD Vocal Music Festival in November
Was nominated for a Outstanding Emsamble at the 06 RISD Vocal Music Festival in
November
-On November 21st, 2006, I received an Outstanding Merit Award at the PTA Reflections
Program

Well as you can see this is all my accomplishments in my musical career so far .I hope
that I am a top candidate that you would like to represent. I promise if you sign me, I will
do my very best to get to the top and I will work my behind off. My music is rare and my
words are the realest and I am the realest of them all.
