For Each Block: Arrange the large diamonds and small diamonds along with the pink print pieces as shown in the photo. Stitch all seams right sides together using seam allowance. 1. Stitch center points together in pairs along one short edge stopping from end of seam at side corner. Make 2 for each block.

2. Stitch one long adjacent edge to small diamond matching end of seam to side point.

6. Clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of the arrow pieces.

3. Stitch the other long adjacent edge to remaining side of small diamond.

7. Match the center point of the arrow piece to the point between two small diamonds. Pin the inner edges of the arrow pieces to the edges of small diamonds. Stitch the edges together pivoting at the inner point.

4. Stitch these units together along the short edge of the centers starting and stopping from end of seam at side corner. 8. Join another arrow to the opposite side of the block in the same manner.

5. Stitch the remaining two small diamonds between the center points following steps 2 and 3.

9. Stitch a large diamond to the side edges of each of the 2 remaining arrow pieces.

10. Pin then stitch the arrow/diamond units to the edges of the small diamonds arrow pieces.

3. Stitch the other long edge of the connector to the large diamond on side of the adjacent block.

Joining the Blocks: Arrange the octagon shaped blocks as shown in the photo. 1. Clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of the sides of the vertical connectors.

4. Join a third diamond to the row in the same manner. Stitch a vertical connector to each end. 5. Follow steps 1-4 to make two more vertical rows of blocks. 6. Arrange the octagons at the corners of the blocks. 7. Clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of the sides of the horizontal connectors.

2. Pin then stitch the side edge of the connector to the large diamond on the side of the block pivoting at the inner corner.

8. Pin then stitch the sides of the horizontal connectors to the side of the octagon pivoting at the inner point.

9. Stitch the remaining side edge of the horizontal connector to the side of the next octagon. Continue to join the four octagons in the horizontal row using horizontal connector pieces.

14. Follow steps 11-13 to join the remaining rows of octagon and rows of blocks. Borders 1. Stitch two border pieces A to the edges of the remaining large borders.

10. Follow steps 7-9 to make three more horizontal rows of octagons. 11. Clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of the top of the vertical connectors in the top row of blocks. Pin then stitch the top edge of the vertical connector to the bottom of the octagon. Repeat across the row.

2. Stitch a matching small triangle to the short edges of the border pieces A.

3. Arrange the diamond units around the quilt center. Stitch border piece B between the units to join them. Then stitch a border piece B to each end.

12. Turn the seam over and clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of the horizontal connector pieces. 13. Pin then stitch the bottom edge of the connector pieces to the edges of the large diamond pivoting at the inner point.

4. Stitch the remaining small triangles to the borders matching the fabrics at each corner of the quilt. Stitch the corner pieces to the top and bottom border.

5. Stitch the side borders to the quilt center first. Clip the seam allowance a scant at the inner corner of each border piece B.

6. Stitch each border piece B to the octagon in the same manner as step 11. Stitch each border piece B to the adjacent octagon on the side edge of the quilt center. 7. Turn the seam over and stitch the vertical connectors to the large diamonds following steps 12-13. 8. Join the top and bottom borders in the same manner stitching the corners to the adjacent border piece B on the side borders. Layer, quilt and bind.
