You have to install these softwares in the following order:

1. IBM DB2
2. NSE
3. Websphere Application Server
4. WAS Fix Pack 1
5. Then in last Content Manager

a) Now the detailed steps to install DB2 are:

1. When you click on I accept, then Click next

2. Selet "Typical", and then next
3. Do not check "Data whare housing", "Satellite administration
capability"
4. click next
5. Check DB2 Enterprise Server on this computer
6. Provide the Windows Username and password
7. on the next screen select "local - create a contact list"
8. On the next Screen select "Do not prepare DB2 tools catalog"
9. On the next Screen select "Defer the task" i-e last option
10 Now the installation will start and you have to click "Exit First
Steps" when installation completes

b) Now install NSE

There is no need to specify any thing.

c) Now install Websphere Application Server

1. When you accept the installation, after that screen select "Full"
installation type.
2. If you want to change the installation path then provide the paths in
the text boxes other wise leave them as it is.
3. Leave the "Node" and "Host" names in the next screen as it is.
4. In the next Screen provide Username and password of Windows.
5. Now click on install.
6. When installation is complete, perform the WAS Fixpack 1.

d) Now install the WAS Fixpack 1.

1. First you have to go to the directory "appserver/bin" by using

command
prompt
2. type "setupCmdLine.bat". You will see some output. But dont Close
this
Window. Now by using this window go to the

directory of Fixpack. At that location write "updateWizard.bat" and

after
a minute the installation process will start.
3. Click OK
4. Here you will see a window in which you will be prompted to select
type
of installation. You have to select the "Fixpack"

the first one.

5. after selecting it you have to just click next next and installation
continutes. But please make sure to see the message
in the last to see weather the installation of fixpack is successfull or
not. if not so then agarin install the WAS and its

FixPack by uninstalling it.

e) Now you have to install Content Manager.

1. Run the setup

2. After some time due to extration select "Install"
3. Please make sure that App server is running before installation
4. Select the custom installation type
5. In the next Screen select "DB2 database"
6. Provide the password for ICMADMIN in the next Screen
7. If the user id is not created on that system, then you will be
prompted. You have to click on YES.
8. Provide the password for ICMCONCT. this is the shared connection ID
used by client for windows
9. Provide the password for the rmadmin.
10 Leave the mount points on the next screen. They will be c:\ and
c:\staging
11 In the next screen select the last option "Dont Use IBM HTTP Server"
12 in the next screen select "Local" for authentication of System
administration client
13 click next and the installation will continue.
