Grayton Beach is one of the areas oldest townships. The mile-long beach has consistently been ranked among the most beautiful in the country, which explains why the quaint, laid back beach town remains popular with vacationers. The Donut Hole is Destins go-to place for something sweet. The bakery-caf may be known for its namesake donuts, but full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are also available at both the Destin and Santa Rosa Beach locations. A word to the wise: Get there early if you want fresh donuts for breakfast. Its not uncommon to see a line out the door.

Talk about history and tradition. Check out the Destin Fishing and History Museum, where you can see the oldest seine fishing boat still in existence, as well as antique fishing equipment and other Destin artifacts dating back to the late 1800s.
