Role of Key Emerging Economies for a Balanced,
Sustainable, and Resilient Asia will address regional
cooperation and integration in ASEAN, the PRC, and India.
A component of the study, ASEAN 2030: Growing
Together for Shared Prosperity, will ofer policy options for
ASEAN countries to support their transition to more
developed economies with a high quality of life by 2030.
A companion study on Pacifc Island Economies 2030 will
explore the choices for the future for small Pacifc island
countries.
International Monetary and Financial System: Asian
Perspective will focus on reforms to the international
monetary and fnancial system and their implications for
Asian economies.
Disaster Risk Management: Lessons for Asia will identify
strategies to reduce the cost of disasters, increase the
speed and efciency of emergency response, promote
more efective recovery and reconstruction, and
strengthen and diversify funding.
ADBI is the think tank of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
It was established in 1997 to identify efective development
strategies and to improve development management in
ADBs developing member countries.
ADBI is fast becoming the leading center for the creation and
dissemination of information and knowledge on development
in the Asia and Pacifc region.
ADBI cultivates an extensive network of experts, researchers,
think tanks, government agencies, civil society, private sector
organizations, and bilateral and multilateral organizations,
within the Asia and Pacifc region and beyond.
Under the ADB overarching goal of poverty reduction, ADBIs

AD8| disseminates results of research, training, seminars,
and conferences through various media and publica-
tions, particularly the AD8| website. |nternational and
regional media, including the Financial Times, The Wall
Street Journal, and The New York Times, have covered
AD8|'s work.
Climate Change and Green Asia will
recommend an Asian strategy for
low-carbon green growth that maximizes
environmental, economic, and social
benefits, without hampering competitiveness.
AD8| carries out research on development issues with
strategic implications for development thinking and
policy formulation. It hosts presentations by
distinguished experts, including Nobel prizewinners,
and publishes books and papers to strengthen policymaking
in the Asia and Pacific region.
