This is an open letter. I am addressing my respect to you and all your community. The intention of this letter is to apologize for my ignorance in first place and also to gratitude for your lesson on your speeches. When I was a child, this cemetery was in my playground area and I used to climb the wall around this cemetery in Guanabacoa and sit there together with my friends then and contemplate it. We were curious as all children always are. So, I knew since I was a child what a cemetery without no cross and only little stone over the grave meant and we learned also to respect it as it was our taught to us from our adults. Today, I am a grown up man, a 48 years old man. I am also a USA citizen, living here in Denmark with my Danish wife Gitte Toldsted. I (we) have been victim of hate, racism, discrimination and xenophobia due the paranoia to see here people with different skin color or Arabic apparency or related with Muslim people or religion. I was arrested and brutalized by Danish policemen without any kind of justifiable reason. They beat me because that is what they do to Arabic people look-alike in everyday bases here in Denmark. Muslim people in Denmark can give testimony of that themselves. I have been also in a brutally and in a clear segregation way to be forced to proof that I am an innocent man.
