Rev. Jake Morrill, leading worship Ajahn Punnadhammo, guest speaker As we reflect on the story of the Golden Calf, from the Book of Exodus, and the theme of idolatry, well receive the wisdom from the Buddhist tradition on the virtue of non-attachment. Guest speaker Ajahn Punnadhammo is a Buddhist monk who is visiting East Tennessee in early October, and ORUUC is blessed to be on his itinerary of teaching. Making Up is Hard to Do Sunday, October 9, 10:00 AM Rev. Jake Bohstedt Morrill, leading worship The old song says, "Breaking up is hard to do," but that's not exactly true. Breaking up is easy--it's neat and clean. There are even instructions on how to do it. What's more difficult, what takes more maturity, isn't breaking up. It's making up. On this day, we'll ponder the power of forgiveness.
