DRESSED FOR BATTLE

Did you get out of bed this morning with the awareness that today would be a battlefield? We do not get out of bed looking for trouble, but we had better dress for trouble, because as Job said, Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. (Job 14:1) The injuries that we encounter are due to the lack of armor we are wearing when the attack comes. I am seeing more and more injuries among Gods children today, because we are so unprepared for battle. Most Christians are not putting on the armor of the Lord daily. Some just put their armor on when they go to church, so they can march in the parade, but the armor was designed for everyday living. One of the reasons we encourage you to read through your Bible each year is because the Word of God is our only weapon. The more you know the Word of God the better you know how to handle the Sword. This Sword is vital to our warfare and we should strive to be efficient with the use of it. Most of us have studied the armor of the Lord in Sunday School when we were young, but as adults we have failed to apply it to our daily lives. Most of us know that we are soldiers of Christ, but what is our mission as a soldier? Did you know it is not our job to KILL the enemy? It is our job to overcome the enemy. It is Gods job to KILL and DESTROY. What did Paul write in Romans? Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written; Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. (Rom 12:19) Many get out of bed ready to kill and destroy those who are against them, but that is Gods job, not mans. That accomplishes the work of man, not the work of God! We are saved to serve Gods Kingdom, not mans kingdom. Gods work is to redeem man. So, what is our work?
Eph 6:10-20 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

DRESSED FOR BATTLE

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

(Continued from page 1)

Our job is to be strong in the Lord. Not just to be strong, but strong in the Lord. That means strong in our walk of righteousness. Strong is to be stable, not wishy washy! How can we be strong? In the power of His might! When we submit to Him and allow Him to work through us, we have the power of His might and we are able to stand against all evil. What is the armor for? It is so we may be able to stand against the wiles (trickery) of the devil. This armor is not so we can stand against mankind, but so we may stand against the men the Devil uses in order to trick us into turning against God. Satan works through polluted authorities. Those are authorities we have been called to work through, yet we are not called to join them in evil. We stand against evil, not our authorities. We wrestle with how to show respect for their position without yielding to the evil they are throwing at us. How do we stand? We do not resist their authority to command, but we refuse to join them in evil. We do not resist their right to give judgment against us, but we suffer whatever is necessary in order to stand for truth and righteousness. Paul never complained about going to prison. He felt they were unjust in their judgment, but he submitted to their authority to make those decisions. He was singing and praising God at midnight in the prison (he was not carrying a picket sign). He was not out to destroy his authorities, but to stand strong in righteousness in the place he was called to serve. You may have a wicked authority, but that is no reason to become a wicked servant! Dont put your light under a bushel, but let your little light shine where God has placed you to work. What are principalities? They represent order, time, place or rank. What is meant by powers? That could be a force that overtakes you, a magistrate or a delegated influence. Someone who has either taken charge or has been given charge over you for some reason. The rulers of the darkness of this world or epithets of Satan. Those who work through Satan for Satans kingdom. Next we wrestle against wickness in high places. This is hard to do. We expect those we place over us to do righteously. They are placed there to serve us, not to destroy us. There are three places where it is very hard to deal with authorities that do wickedly. One is the home. Wives, with husbands who do wickedly and children, with parents that do wickedly. Two is the church, where members have pastors that do wickedly. Thirdly are the citizens, whose leaders do wickedly. Are we fighting the wiles of the devil in these places today? Yes, we certainly are, but it doesnt seem many are winning. Wives are commanded to submit to their husbands leadership in the home, but they are never to do for man what they cannot do as unto the Lord. Yet, in their refusal to do evil for him, they must not rise up against his right to reign. It is a wifes benefit to win her husband to righteousness, seeing she is to stay with him until death. Children are to honor father and mother, but children suffer the most when parents are wicked. The Lord says about a person who would offend

a child, that it were better for them that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matt 18:6) That would be a better judgment, meaning their judgment will be worse than that. God takes special care of children and widows. Church members must not submit to evil in the church and yet the Bible warns about touching Gods anointed. We are to follow Jesus and if the pastor does not walk in Jesus footsteps, we are not to follow. We have the privilege to change churches or a pastor can be voted out when he fails to represent the Lord in his life. Citizens are commanded to give honor to those in authority and we are to pray for them, yet we are not to yield to wickedness when they depart from what is right. Next time we vote we can replace them with someone who will do right or we can leave the country. Many husbands, many pastors and many political people have been destroyed because those who were called to serve them did not stand for righteousness but joined them in wickedness, encouraging them to continue in their own ways. We the people have not been doing a good job of standing against the devils wiles. Why? Because we have not dressed in the armor of the Lord. Paul says the most important thing a Christian can do is to stand. We dream of doing great things for God, yet the greatest thing we can do for Him is to stand.
If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences. Eccl 10:4

Do not run when an authority is used of the devil to throw darts at you. Yielding causes our authorities to continue in their evils. They will never turn away from evil as long as they think we will run or they think we will allow them to get away with it by keeping quite. We must stand, but we must stand in love. Let us look at our armor.

A tract is a silent missionary, a faithful missionary, a sower of Gods Word, a tireless, continuous and very economical worker. It is a worker that can repeat itself many times, never angers, never contradicts itself, touches multitudes, can go anywhere, stays on the job, needs no vacation, is fearless, goes where you cannot, needs no salary, never gets sick, needs no building, is easily available, heeds no opposition, travels in pockets, persists in calling, always is obedient, speaks many languages, takes no offerings, has much patience, depends on the Holy Spirit and preaches until extinct! Perhaps many of you have never thought about the way a tract can help a pastor or a missionary. One who is not able to use printed materials to help in their ministries has a definite handicap. It is a priceless tool that forwards a ministry way beyond the two hands and two feet that God has given us to use to go and tell others about Christ. How many times has a pastor or missionary knocked on a door to invite someone to church only to leave without an answer to their knocking? Without a tract or some kind of printed matter the people would never know they missed a person concerned about them and their family. Leaving a tract can be invaluable to that person. This is only one example of the usefulness of a tract. Wonderful Word Publishers has been printing tracts and giving them

WHAT A TRACT CAN DO by Connie Cimino

free of charge for 45 years. Our printing of tracts is mainly in the Spanish language. Tid Bits is an arm of Wonderful Word reaching many with the message of Gods Word in English. Wonderful Word Publishers and Tid Bits are supported financially through churches and individuals separately. We have our supporters and Tid Bits has theirs, but we work together under the same umbrella. Since my husband went home to be with the Lord, WWP prints tracts through the ministry of Larry and Judy Connor. It is that time of the year to print. I learned last week that paper has risen in price fifteen dollars per 1,000 sheets. This year it will cost us just under $2,000 for paper alone. We use good quality, colored opaque paper. God gave His best for us and we try to give our best for Him while being affordable and producing a good product. Many missionaries have used our tracts since the beginning of WWP. Some lost track of us and once finding us again returned asking for our tracts as they say they present the gospel more clearly than others they have used. Our tracts contain drawings, illustrations and best of all, 95% scripture. The tracts go to Mexico, Central and South America, and the USA. Just recently some are on their way to Bolivia. We ask that you pray for Wonderful Word Publishers. As you pray, ask the Lord if He would want you to be a part of putting the Word of God in the hands of lost Spanish speaking people. Any gift will be appreciated. Times are tough for all us. Many churches and missionaries have lost members and support, including WWP. Gods work still must go on and He uses people who are sensitive to His nudging of their heart to help the work move on. If you would like to help, please send donations to Wonderful Word Publishers, 110 W. Lincoln, P.O. Box 2583, Harlingen, TX 78551. Thank you and remember to pray for all of us and for the tracts as they are used that many will open their heart to the Lord and the free gift of His salvation.

My meek, quiet and sweet friend, Marjie Jenkins Given by: Juanice Davis
Envy is the daughter of Pride, the author of murder and revenge, the beginner of secret sedition, and the perpetual tormentor of virtue. Envy is the slime of the soul, a venom, a poison or quicksilver, which consumeth the flesh and dryeth up the marrow of the bones. It is composed of odious ingredients, in which are found meanness, vice, and malice, in about equal proportions. It wishes the force of goodness to be strained, and that the measure of happiness be abated. It laments over prosperity, pines at the visit of success, is sick at the sight of health. Like death, it loves a shining mark; like the worm, it never runs but to the fairest fruits; like a cunning bloodhound, it singles out the fattest deer in the flock. Envy is a sentiment that desires to equal, or excel, the efforts of its compeers, not so much by increasing our own toil and ingenuity as by diminishing the merits due to the efforts of others. It seeks to elevate itself by the degradation of others. Envy is a weed that grows in all soils and climates, and is no less luxuriant in the country than in the court. It is not confined to any rank of men or extent of fortune, but rages in the breast of those of every degree. We are as apt to find it in the humble walks of life as in the proud. Since, then, it keeps all sorts of company, and infuses itself into the most contrary natures and dispositions, and yet carries so much poison and venom with it that it ruins any life in which it finds lodgment - alienating the affections from heaven, and raising rebellion against God Himself - it is worth our utmost care to watch it in all its disguises and approaches, that we may discover it before it procures a shelter to conceal it self, and work to our confusion and shame.

HOME - A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM

Wow! What a thought! My actions will either build or pull down my house. That is a sobering thought. God made man to work the fields and till the soil, but He made woman to build the house. She is to build that home to accommodate her husbands life and to prosper his dreams for his home. I feel privileged to be given the responsibility of building my house, but it is such an important job for the lives of my family and myself. My family have all been raised and are building their own lives now, so my job is to maintain the home so they can have it for an example and a place to retreat from the world. I wish when I was first married, someone would have written a handbook on how to be a godly house builder. Most of what I have learned has been after the fact and you cannot go backward (but you can change today). Women were becoming professionals in the work place when I was married. The home builder was looked upon as passive, unlearned and unnecessary. Home building was what you did if you couldnt do anything else! Remember the pictures of the wife in rollers, reading the paper, drinking coffee until right before hubby came home. She would then get up and pretend she had worked hard all day!!! When I married, the wife who stayed at home was thought of as lazy and living off her husband. I did not want to be her. What happened to cause women to get such a reputation? Before World War 11 most families lived on the farm. On the farm, everybody worked, starting early in the morning. Most people had cows to milk. The father and children would milk while mother made breakfast (unless she was also milking, which many did). They had worked a couple of hours before breakfast and they were ready for a full meal by 7:00 am. The farm was their income and they all worked it together. After the war many families left the farm and moved to town. That first generation of families were good workers, but the next generation was learning the city way of living. Daddy left early in the morning for work and the children went off to school. Mother could do as she pleased, she was her own boss in the house. It pleased many women to become lazy or focus on something besides home. Having the TV didnt help matters at all. The children had no responsibilities when they came in from school and play was all they could do. Pleasure became more desired than work. Mothers began to have money to make their homes more beautiful, because America was becoming prosperous. They now had washing machines, refrigerators and ovens (without wood), matching furniture and beautiful decorations. Things!!!! Many things!!!! Now mother has to go to work to help pay for the repairs of all these things or replace them as they go out. Of course if our children are to have name brand clothes it takes two working to buy them. We are busy about two things. Making money and spending money. The important things in life have taken a back seat and are suffering greatly in our country.
Prov 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

If all we think about is cleaning, washing and doing the dishes, we will not see building our homes as a great work. These are the outside works that we do so people will think well of our character, but if we do not build a godly spirit in our family and home, then we have only done the small things in the home. We should be maidens of Wisdom to our household. Wisdom was beside the Lord Jesus Christ when He created this world (Prov. 8:22-36). She was there with Him through all His creations. She said she was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him. Have you built that kind of a relationship with your husband? There is no greater treasure than a husband and wife who delight in one another. Wisdom then says her delights were with the sons of men. She delighted in serving the Lords children. Is it a delight to serve your children or is it a burden and just a responsibility. Do your children feel they are special in your eyes? Wisdom said, O ye children: blessed are they that keep my ways. Will your children be blessed if they live their lives the way you live yours? She also said, Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting on the posts of my doors. How about it? If your husband should listen to you, would it bless him? Are your words words of encouragement toward righteousness? Wisdom was a blessing to the Lord and His creation. Are we blessing our house and our families by our work, our word and our spirit? Are we building or plucking down?

DRESSED FOR BATTLE

We are to have our loins girt about with truth!

(Continued from page 2)

Jesus asked a question in Luke 18:8 when He said, ...Nevertheless

Where do we find the truth? Jesus said, I am the way the truth, and the life... (John 14:6). ...when He (Holy Spirit), the spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth.. (John 16:13-14). Jesus prayed to the Father, ...Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth. (John 17:17-19) Those who are workers of iniquities, take the truth and add to or take away from it, making it iniquity (perverted thinking). We have no protection unless we have the truth. Truth does not change. You can bank your life upon it. But be careful less you be deceived and think iniquity is truth. Check it out with the Word of God. Without truth we cannot stand. Satan always hits below the belt. Truth will stop the blows. We are to put on the breastplate of righteousness.

when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? The shield of faith is how we quench the fiery darts of Satan and without faith we will be wounded. By faith we move mountains. Satan never stops throwing those darts, regardless of how mature you are in the Lord. This shield is a must. This shield represents the promises of God. Take the Helmet of Salvation!

Paul said he counted all things loss, that he may win Christ and be found in Him, not having his own righteousness (which is by the law), but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith... (Phil 3:8-11) Christ has made us righteous through His blood. To put on the breastplate of righteousness is to live in the Spirit of God so we can do righteous works through Him. Jesus came to destroy the works of Satan. He gives us His Holy Spirit so we can do righteous works. Proverbs 10:2 says, ....righteousness delivereth from death. Proverbs 12:28 says, In the way of righteousness is life... Proverbs 113:6 says, Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way... Proverbs 16:12 says, ...the throne is established by righteousness. Matthew 5:20 says, ...That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees (religion), ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Only what is done through the Holy Spirit (righteousness) will withstand the fire and bring us rewards. We cannot live in the flesh and expect to overcome the enemy. We are to have our feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

This is a protection of the mind. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 calls it a helmet of hope. The mind is the hardest place to turn over to the Lord, because your thoughts can be hidden from sight and you feel like it is your own private place. God warns us to be of a sound and a sober mind. The salvation of our mind is to keep it stayed upon Him. The enemy is after your mind. Phillipans 2:5-11 gives us the mind of Christ and we are told to have this mind. Study these verses to be sound in mind. Take the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God!

This is our only weapon. This is a two edged sword. Learn to use this sword effectively. If you are wearing full armor, you will not misuse this weapon. The Word of God cuts the heart. That heart will either be healed or be killed, depending upon the way it is responded to. If it is accepted as from God, they will be healed. If it is rejected, this Word will kill. Our job is to take the Word, Gods job is to determine the results.

How is our walk? Is it a walk of peace? Have we refrained our feet from every evil way that we might keep Gods Word? (Ps. 119:101) It was said in Isaiah 52:7, How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; Our walk must show our talk. We cannot tell the world how peaceful it is to walk with God unless our feet are shod with the Gospel of peace. Peace comes when we rest in the Lords promises and obey His commands. We are dressed for battle so we can overcome Satan and take the Gospel of peace to the lost. Above all, taking the shield of faith!

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.Isa 59:17-18 Above all, we are to stand. The Lord will take vengeance and reward according to their deeds.

The Unseen Warrior who fights alongside us!

HOME - A SHELTER IN THE TIME OF STORM

I look back over the fifty one years I have had to build my house and I am reminded of the many things the Lord has had to change in me to cause my house to still be standing. I suppose the hardest thing I have done over these years is to yield my spirit to Gods ways and not mine. There were times I wanted to be angry or bitter. There were times I wanted to get revenge or go into depression. Had I yielded to those times and put my own desires before my familys needs, I would have plucked down my house. Learning how to forgive is so important in building a house. No house is without troubles, but the house that does not solve their troubles by the Word of God will crumble. Not only do we have to learn how to forgive (and get over it), but we must learn how to love from the heart through the Spirit of God. Could your family say that, Mother treats us the way Jesus would treat us? Do they see Jesus in us when we respond to their needs? They should! I have not always responded the way Jesus would. Every time I do it my way I suffer a destruction in my life and find I must spend a great amount of time cleaning it up. But thank the Lord, He does make a way for us to clean up when we do wrong. Learning how to work through a mans life is a great enough challenge, but then you must know each child individually. I could not approach each of my children the same way, because they each respond differently. I needed wisdom to know how to love them. I sought wisdom early, because I knew that I had no idea how to train my children without Gods help. I missed a lot of opportunities to bless my family. In looking back I wish I had taken advantage of the job God intrusted me with. There is a song title, Ill Wish I had Given Him more. I think everyone of us will feel this way when we face Christ. The title of this lesson is Home - A shelter in the time of storm. Jerry and I did family seminars and this was our title. Most homes today are storms! We are suppose to face storms in the world, but we cannot survive if our homes become the place of storms. How many Christian families do you know who live in peace? Peace is available to every believer and it is a shame upon Christs name that so many live day after day without seeking that peace. Without allowing the Lord to conform them to His image. Oh, it took some real breaking of mine and Jerrys life in order to live in peace, but we wouldnt take anything for the benefit it has brought to our lives. Are you living in turmoil? STOP! Fall on your knees and seek Gods face and be ready to do whatever He says. Get out of the flesh and jump into the Spirit of God and start doing righteous works through Christ. You may say that others in your home will not follow. So, that doesnt stop you from beginning what God commands you to do. If the household does not find peace right away, at least you will go to bed at night without guilt! Someone has to begin to obey before peace will come and there is no greater place than with mother! Mother has the power to change the home just by her spirit. You may say, Im just one person. A few years ago, Jerry and I went to a large church meeting (about 6,000 people). It was a doctrinally sound people, saying all the right things and doing all the right things, but there was a coldness in that room that just went through your bones. Everybody acted like if we relaxed we would all break. It was awful. Just about that time Mrs. Mina Oglsby came to the pulpit and spoke just a few words before she sang. Her words warmed that room and the whole atmosphere changed. All of a sudden there was a wonderful spirit in that room. One person made the difference. The way you present yourself to others does make a difference. God can use you to change your home.

(Continued from page 4)

May and June are months that many people get married. Maybe you are a new bride. If so, please look at your marriage as you ministry and your mission field. If you can build a house that will bring glory to God, then you can be successful in any ministry you are called to do. What are some things our family should remember about home? How do you want your children to remember you? Live that way! Will they say, My mother was a praying mother. I remember seeing her on her knees asking God to work in my life. Most children today have never seen their mothers pray at home. Your family should know you as a comforter. Never yield to their sins, but comfort them when their sins have wounded them. Your family should know that you have an answer for why you live your life as you do. They need to know they can come to you for counsel when they are in need. It says about wisdoms house that she has seven pillars (Prov. 9:1). I believe those pillars are the seven Spirits of God. Revelation says Jesus was worthy to receive seven things and I believe these are the seven Spirits. They are: power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Rev 5:12) These are the Spirits that we find in Christ and we should strive to have them in our homes. These are things to reach for as we build our houses. When is the last time you thanked God for being a wife and a mother? Building your house is the greatest work you can do for mankind. Never allow anyone to take away from you the knowledge of your value in the home. If your husband and your children rise up and call you blessed, then you are a woman of virtue. As Queen of your house, wear that crown with head held high. Gods gift to the Lord Jesus Christ is a Bride. Do all that you do as unto the Lord and He will reward you!

Kindred has its obligations. The Reubenites and Gadites would have been unbrotherly if they had claimed the land which had been conquered, and had left the rest of the people to fight for their portions alone. We have received much by means of the efforts and sufferings of the saints in years gone by, and if we do not make some return to the church of Christ by giving her our best energies, we are unworthy to be enrolled in her ranks. Others are combating the errors of the age manfully, or excavating perishing ones from amid the ruins of the fall, and if we fold our hands in idleness we had need be warned, lest the curse of Meroz fall upon us. The Master of the vineyard saith, "Why stand ye here all the day idle?" What is the idler's excuse? Personal service of Jesus becomes all the more the duty of all because it is cheerfully and abundantly rendered by some. The toils of devoted missionaries and fervent ministers shame us if we sit still in indolence. Shrinking from trial is the temptation of those who are at ease in Zion: they would fain escape the cross and yet wear the crown; to them the question for this evening's meditation is very applicable. If the most precious are tried in the fire, are we to escape the crucible? If the diamond must be vexed upon the wheel, are we to be made perfect without suffering? Who hath commanded the wind to cease from blowing because our bark is on the deep? Why and wherefore should we be treated better than our Lord? The firstborn felt the rod, and why not the younger brethren? It is a cowardly pride which would choose a downy pillow and a silken couch for a soldier of the cross. Wiser far is he who, being first resigned to the divine will, groweth by the energy of grace to be pleased with it, and so learns to gather lilies at the cross foot, and, like Samson, to find honey in the lion.

"Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?" Numbers 32:6

TID BITS OF WISDOM MONTHLY REPORT

It is hot, hot, hot in Texas! Our light bill doubled with the many days of heat above 100 degrees. The last few days have been 115 to 118 when near the downtown area. We are praying for rain. Well, Gloria finally had to surrender to the fact she cannot catch up for the time she lost in surgery last December. This month will be for August and September. Every month she has been one to two weeks late and so to get back in step, we are doing two months together. Please continue to pray for her. She is on her feet, but she is fighting an infection that she received in the hospital and must be able to defeat it before it defeats her. So far it hasnt slowed her down. Our country is in turmoil and we must pray for the Lord to give us some leaders who honor the Lord and His Word. We could be facing some very hard times ahead because of all the disasters we have gone through already this year . We need some godly leaders with wisdom to take us through this. Make sure you are registered to vote. If we do not vote, we cannot complain. God has always met our needs at Tid Bits of Wisdom and we are not complaining now, but some of our supporters are becoming unable to continue because of age and we would like for you to pray and ask the Lord if He would have you to become one of our monthly supporters. Our supporters have been faithful through these five years and we are grateful for their faithfulness to this work. If you would like to join us, just send your gift to the address below. All gifts are tax deductible. Remember, if you would like to honor someone who has passed away with a love gift to the paper, we will print their names in the next months paper. All gifts can be sent to Tid Bits of Wisdom, 1801 Old Hickory Trail, DeSoto, Texas, 75115. Our web address is on the back page. One day the telephone rang in the Rectors office of the Washington Church which President Franklin Roosevelt attended. An eager voice inquired, Tell me, do you expect the President to be in church this Sunday? That, the Rector explained patiently, I cannot promise. But we expect God to be there, and we fancy that will be incentive enough for a reasonably large attendance. It is so dry in Texas that the Baptist are sprinkling, the Methodist are using wet wipes, the Presbyterians are giving rain checks and the Catholics are trying to turn the wine back to water. Church sign: Be a fountain, not a drain! Deceivers are a special breed Of whom we must beware They seem to be so smart indeed Their words are very fair But if you watch them closely Their colors will come through Cause soon theyll be confessing The word of Gods not true They now have laid the groundwork By which they cast a doubt You know their so much smarter Than the God they read about A wolf within sheeps clothing Is what your watching for So keep your ears attentive They may knock on your door

Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss. From victory unto victory His army shall He lead, Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone; The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own. Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer; Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, each soldier to his post, Close up the broken column, and shout through all the host: Make good the loss so heavy, in those that still remain, And prove to all around you that death itself is gain.
