Scenario

As the administrator for Contoso, you want to integrate your current existing deployment of Lync Server 2010 with Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging to further take advantage of the voice features of Lync Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2010 SP1. You have already installed and configured the Unified Messaging server role and will now make the necessary configuration changes. 90 Minutes

Exercise 1 Configuring Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging to Work with Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Voice
Scenario
In this exercise, you will go through the steps of configuring Exchange Server 2010 SP1 UM integration with Lync Server 2010. The steps involved are: Create and edit a UM dial plan Associate the Exchange Server with the new dial plan Create and configure a UM auto attendant Run the EXCHUCUTIL.PS1 script

First, you will configure Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging to work with Lync Server 2010. This includes creating and configuring a dial plan, associating the UM dial plan with the UM server, creating an auto attendant, and running the EXCHUCUTIL.PS1 script. You will also set the UM IP gateway to use port 5061. Tasks Complete the following tasks on: Detailed Steps
a. On EX01, click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft Exchange Server 2010,

and then click Exchange Management Console.

In this exercise, you will configure Lync Server 2010 integration with Exchange Server 2010 Unified Messaging. The steps involved are: Run the OCSUMUTIL.EXE integration tool Configure inbound normalization rules on the global dial plan Restart the UM service

First, you will go through the steps of creating a location profile and phone number normalization rules. You will then run the OcsUMUtil.exe tool to create contact objects in Lync Server 2010. Tasks Complete the following tasks on: Detailed Steps

Detailed Steps Note: The Global dial plan is used by any user who has not been assigned a dial plan, and also for inbound number normalization. You will now configure rules to allow inbound calls for the Auto Attendant and Subscriber Access Number to be correctly normalized.
a. On LS-SE, in the Lync Server Control Panel, in the navigation pane, click Voice

Scenario
In this exercise, you will experience the integration of Lync Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2010 SP1 Unified Messaging. You will enable users for Enterprise Voice and UM and will view some of the available features. Tasks Complete the following task on: Detailed Steps
