General
This charger can be used to charge 12 Vor
24 ¥ lead-cell batteries (standard @% and
maintenance-free “—"] } with a capesrty
upwards of 6 Ah.
Do nat charga maintenance-free batteries
together with standard batteries,
Do nat operate the battery charger in
laundry rooms or damp rooms:
Special features:
The battery cannot be overcharged, It can
remain connected to the charget for several
weeks and needs no attendance if the switch
ig sat to position.
The electronic contrat circuit protects the
charger in the avent af overload, terminal
short circuit and incorrect polarity. The
fault is indicated by the indicator lamp.
‘Only charge batteries with the switch sat to
position #9 at high ambient temperatures
{greater than 30°) and if the battery is ald.
This will avoid excessive gassing. This pro-
longs the charging time. In position,g®5
itis imparative that charging is terminated
when the battery is fully charged. The following factors may influence the
charging current:
High charging current it
a) the battery has a low charge state
b) the battery has a high capacity
¢} the mains voltage exceeds 220 V
4d) the battery is detective (intercell

‘Low charging current if
a) the battery is fully charged
b) the battery has a low eapacity
€) the mains voltage is tess than 220 V
a) the battery is detective (heavily sulfated)
