This is an Agreement between ………….

(band/artist) (herein known as the ‘You’,

‘your’ or ‘band/artist’) and DPA Services Limited trading as SoM Records (herein
known as ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘Record label’

1. We agree to sell your single/album (as detailed below in table B) on iTunes via
AWAL Distribution and pay royalties as detailed in table A.
2. We will promote your single/album by means of the “Symposium of Music
Podcast”, “Symposium of Music Presents…… Newsletter”, the Internet
(including Myspace and Dontstayin), local press and via flyers/paper
promotion through our company Symposium of Music Promotions. The cost
of promotion will be the burden of us which will come from a precentage of
the sale of the single/album as detailed in table A.
3. You will provide your single/album, respective cover art, press releases and
band biography to us, as detailed in table C, in reasonable quality, retaining all
burdens of cost with regards to production of items listed above and in table C.
4. Upon the signing of this agreement we, the record label, will gain joint rights
of copyright for the single/album and cover art with regards to distribution,
reproduction, selling and manufacture on iTunes alone through the distribution
company AWAL and you will provide details of previous copyright including
dates. All rights of copyright will include geographic distribution rights to the
world via iTunes through AWAL Distribution.
5. Royalties will be payed to you by an agreed method between both parties not
recorded in this contract.
6. A signed copy of this agreement is to be retained by you and by us.

Retail CD Sleeve (for cover art), if not, a 300 dpi 1400x1400 pixel JPEG (saved at
best quality) of either the front cover artwork or a band photo
An indication of what genre your single/album would like to be listed under
Band biography/press releases

The CD is to be supplied either in retail CD format or CD-R/CD-Rom. Labeling of

the CD (if CD-R/CD-Rom) should be marked with a CD pen only. CDs are to be
recorded in Audio format (NOT MP3)
