The most common complaint I hear from clients is about the cost and time it takes to

resolve even the simplest lawsuits; I will immediately review the manner in which cases are handled and research whether the court can provide a more cost- and time-effective means of handling its docket through mediation or other alternative dispute resolution, and telephonic attendance at pretrial conferences. I believe when multiple charges are brought as a result of a single criminal/traffic incident, those charges should be made under a single case number so that individuals are not faced with multiple sets of court costs; I will consolidate those cases so that court costs are fairly assessed. I will also endeavor to run the court in a fiscally responsible manner, including review of use of appointed magistrates and substitute judges; I will review the courts budget and implement cost savings wherever possible.

Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you? I have been in private practice for 15 years, regularly handling cases in all levels of courts across northeast Ohio. My unique experience has shown me the different ways courts handle their dockets, both good and bad. Additionally, the nature of my practice allows me to represent individuals as well as businesses, and I am sensitive to the clients needs to find an economical means to resolve disputes, many times resolving matters without filing a lawsuit. I grew up in Lake County, attended Browning and Royalview Elementary Schools, and Willowick Jr. High. I love being a part of this community and am committed to making our municipal court the very best it can be.
