Introduction. The animal I had to splice my DNA with is a luna moth, Actias Luna. This insect as an adult lives about one week and in it's lifespan it doesn't feed or have a mouth. The adult's only purpose is to reproduce.

After leaving cocoon luna moths have short wings which have to be filled with body fluids to become strong and big. Development After doing research about my animal I have decided to do a sketch of it to be able to understand it better. Thanks to The Fly movies I had many ideas in my head as to how I can make human-moth hybrid. At this stage I have tried to acheive a monster which looked more like human, moth and somewhere in between. The last one was the hardest to make, because it's not easy to establish where is the middle point of being a human and an animal. Here are some of my sketches.

I have tried to determine which features are the key signatures of a human, how is it possible to see a human inside a monster?

After looking at human figure and comparing it to the moth I have thought that the standing position, face, arms and legs make a human different and unique, where a moth have multiple legs, wings and scales which cover it's wings. In my latest sketches I tried to emphasis those fact.

Here is a colour drawing I did in photoshop. The purpose of this drawing is to dedcide on colour range the hybrid could have as well as if it should have hair, fur, scales or skin. Here I have drawn the hands and hair to look egsactly like human ones and the rest of the body is of a moth. Essay In the beginning I wanted to base my metamorphosis essay on vampires, but thatnks to Phil I had a second thought about it. I wanted to write how humans change into vampires and how even if in the past being considered as a human in eyes of others they are monsters. Now I have decided to write about shapeshifting in mythology and folklore.

Essay Introduction The topic of this essay is shapeshifting in mythjology as well as in folklore. The metamorphosis is a wide subject but in this essay different myths about greek gods and legends about folklore shapeshifters will be included and explored. In the mythology many gods were able to change their apperance and gender like Proteus from greek mythology was able to change into lion, serpent, leopard, pig and take a form of water and tree. Then the most important folklore shapeshifter legends will be compared to mythological gods. The research will be based on many myths and legends: Gods, goddesses, and mythology, Volume 11 By C.
