Installing FIFA 12 Windows (disc users): * Insert the disc into your disc drive and follow the on-screen instructions. * Once the game has installed you can launch it by locating the game through th e Start menu. * Games on Windows Vista are located in the Start > Games menu and on earlier v ersions of Windows in the Start > Programs (or All Programs) menu. Windows (EA Store users): * Once the game has been downloaded by Origin, click the install icon that appe ars and follow the on-screen instructions. * Launch the game (once it is installed) directly from Origin. In Windows Vista Classic Start menu style, games are located in the Start > Prog rams > Games > Games Explorer menu. b.) Digital Retail Installation Note: If you d like additional information about your game as well as tips and pat ches please visit http://www.ea.com or http://www.eastore.com. c.) If your "Autorun" feature is disabled If for some reason your "Autorun" feature is disabled, you can install the progr am by running AUTORUN.EXE directly from the root directory of the DVD.

============================================================ 3. DirectX 9.0c ============================================================ DirectX 9.0c will be installed as part of the EA SPORTS a.) Installing DirectX directly from DVD FIFA 12 comes with DirectX 9.0c. If you would like to install it manually, make sure the FIFA 12 DVD is in the DVD-ROM drive, and access the following path on your DVD-ROM drive: "\DirectX\" Double-click on DXSETUP.EXE to begin DirectX 9.0c installation. b.) DirectX and supported hardware We recommend that FIFA 12 be run with DirectX 9.0c compatible sound cards and vid eo cards. We also suggest you update your sound card and video card driver to the newest r elease from the vendor or chipset website. ============================================================ 4. Uninstalling FIFA 12 ============================================================ For Windows XP, you can uninstall FIFA 12 by accessing "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel. For Windows Vista, you can uninstall FIFA 12 by accessing "Programs and Features " in the Control Panel. For Windows 7, you can uninstall FIFA 12 by accessing "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel. ============================================================ 5. Memory Requirements ============================================================ a.) Memory requirements in Windows FIFA 12 requires a minimum of 1 GB of RAM to run the game (2 GB required for Win dows Vista / Windows 7). Note: The more system memory available, the better the game will perform in all areas. b.) Running the game under stressful Windows conditions At Electronic Arts we strive to bring you the best in graphics, audio and gamepla y. We are always pushing the envelope of computer performance. While we have made every effort to ensure that FIFA 12 multi-tasks with all applications for Windows, we recommend that you shut down other applications and run FIFA 12 by itself when possible. c.) Improving Game Speed ============================================================ There are several ways by which you can speed up the overall FIFA 12 experience: a.) Lower the resolution in the FIFA 12 launcher application under the Display C onfiguration tab within Game Settings. b.) Lower the rendering quality in the FIFA 12 launcher application under the Di splay Configuration tab within Game Settings. c.) Turn off the MSAA in the FIFA 12 launcher application under the Display Conf iguration tab within Game Settings. d.) Disable the radar from within the game under Game Settings. e.) Turn the Commentary Volume all the way down within the game under Game Setti ngs. f.) Uncheck the Wait for Vsync option in the FIFA 12 launcher application under the Display Configuration tab within Game Settings. ============================================================ 7. Hot Keys ============================================================ The following hot keys can be used in the game to access certain functions more quickly. The following relates to VOIP and is for the Numpad only: * = - = + = ESC Turn off VOIP Turn down VOIP volume Turn up VOIP volume = Pause

Mouse, Keyboard and Controller Functionality ============================================================ You can use the mouse, keyboard or controller to navigate the game interface. Once you are on the Side select screen, you must move whichever input device you plan to use in the game to the left or the right to select your team. Please note that you may have to recalibrate your controllers in Windows in orde r to have the game detect them correctly. To bring up the in-game pause menus, you can press the Start button (if your gam epad has one) or press ESC. The button callouts in the front end of the game and also in game are based on w hatever button icon type you have chosen in the launcher configuration app. With in the FIFA 12 launcher application you can select either the Logitech F510 style (A, B, X, Y) or numeric type (Logitech Rumblepad 2) of button icon imagery. The use of a 360-degree dual analog gamepad such as the Logitech F510 ommended for full functionality. is highly rec

Notes on Video Card Chipsets ============================================================ If you are experiencing problems with your video card and FIFA 12, try updating your video card driver by downloading the latest driver available from the video card manufacturer. If there is no improvement, try using the latest driver provided by the video chipset manufacturer. Your vid eo card chipset is the video-processing chip located on your video card. If there is no information in your video card manual or website, check the video card for an identifying chip with the chipset manufa cturer's name on it. ============================================================ 10. NOTE**: The screen on all OS' for the ATI Radeon HD 3870 ATI Radeon HD 4870 ATI Radeon HD 4870 may flicker whenever a screen transition happens in the game following video cards, X2 Crossfire X2

Turning on MSAA makes the issue worse. We expect this issue occurs on all ATI vi deo cards in Crossfire configuration (including single cards). Occasional flickering may be addressed by disabling the Catalyst A.I setting in the ATI control panel. ============================================================ 11. Notes on Windows ============================================================ FIFA 12 supports Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Save game location by default will be: C:\Users\<user>\Documents\FIFA 12\

*NOTE - To install the game properly on Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista / Windows 7, you will need administrator access to your machine. Consult your Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista / Windows 7 documentation for more i nformation. ============================================================ 12. Troubleshooting USB Devices ============================================================ Gamers using USB devices may experience uncontrolled menu selections upon playin g FIFA 12. To resolve this issue, please ensure that all USB devices (including those not required to play FIFA 12) plugged into the computer have been correctly installed using the drivers provided by the manufac turer. If proper drivers are not provided by the manufacturer, you may choose to disabl e any of these devices using the Device Manager in your Windows operating system. To open Device Manager, cli ck Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click on the System icon. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. For information about using Device Manager, on the Action menu in Device Manager, cl ick Help.
