Educational Information:

1. Since ACCESS is conducted in English, we require that students have a strong command of the English
language. Please provide tests scores (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT) or other evidence of your proficiency.
Personal, Volunteer, Extra-curricular Activities and Achievements:

Many of the top universities in the U.S. do not select their students solely on the basis of academics. They also
look at many different aspects. One such aspect is the activities to which you have dedicated your time and how
you have individually excelled in that area: whether they are playing an instrument, taking on an employment
position, or volunteering to help the community, etc… in order for us to find out more about yourself:

Part II: Essays


We know that this is the hardest part in the application. There is NO right or wrong answers. The response lies
within you. These essays simply help us become more acquainted with you in ways different from scores or other
objective data.

REQUIRED SHORT ANSWER (200 – 300 words)

With the knowledge you acquire through ACCESS’s conference, what will you do to contribute to your community
and Vietnam’s society?

Host essay –REQUIRED for students who would like to host American College students

Write a short letter to a US student in which you show your personality, hobbies, daily habits, and other intriguing
facts that you think will help that person understand you better.

OPTIONAL: FUN! –These are optional topics that you can write about to demonstrate your English
proficiency and to give us insight into your personality.

1. Describe a character in fiction, an historical figure, or a creative work (art, music, science, etc.) that has
influenced you and describe its impact.

2. You just won the lottery!!! What would you do with all the money?

You are writing your autobiography. What would appear on page 179?

chances of admission into the program. Please limit yourself again to 500 words and indicate your essay

Send in your completed application along with all necessary forms in ONE e-mail to application@access-asia.org
before the designated deadline. Please do not send multiple e-mails.
You will know that we have received your application when we send a letter of confirmation. If you have not
received this within 24 hours of sending in your application to us, please contact us immediately.
