D/96. I filed C.M. for early hearing which was sent by your office. The same
was fixed for hearing for 2.5.2002. The respondent’s counsel sough
adjournment on the plea that the respondent Mr. Zafar Iqbal will give the
statement himself and got it adjourned for 6.5.2002. On this date, the
respondent did not turn up, so statement could not be recorded and the case
was left over.

Respected Sir,
The Hon’ble judge took notice and asked the counsel for the
respondents to ask his client once again, as the compromise is supported by
affidavit; and the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court is very much
clear on this particular issue. The counsel sought time for consulting his
client. Now, matter is adjourned to 7.11.2002 for further hearing.
