Fire Warning Devices A complete range of audible and visual devices which form one of the most important components of a BS 5839 Fire System. The solenoid actuated bells can be supplied in 4 , 6 or 8 gong sizes depending on the risk. The 4 version being for areas such as hotel bedrooms, the 6 for general areas and the 8 is suitable for noisy areas or external mounting. Electronic Sounders provide a very high sound output yet consume very little current. A number of versions are available (two are featured on this leaflet), from slim bedhead units to robust loud units for very noisy areas. Other sounders are available for special risks. Red high efficiency Flashing Beacons are useful to supplement audible signals in extremely noisy environments or to remain flashing when the sounders have been silenced given appropriate wiring configurations. Flashing Beacons are also suitable in areas where deaf persons are likely to be present. Additional devices such as vibrating pads are available for sleeping areas where deaf persons might be present.
