which sits atop of a cylinder (Rock) whereby an individual stands and attempts to balance on the

Which rock comes with which board - Each board and sub-deck system is designed with a
specific riding style in mind and comes complete with a specifically designed rock as well. Example:
When purchasing a Zippy Model you will receive a Zippy Deck as well as a Zippy Rock. Although
most rocks are interchangeable the boards and rocks do come as a complete set. It's always a
good idea to have a few extra rocks around to allow for a variety of skill levels as well as trick

What is Balance Training? - Balance training is training for the ability to recover balance or base
of support (BOS) from postural sway (body movement over your BOS) following a destabilizing

What are Vew-do Balance Boards made of? - All Vew-Do balance boards are made in the

Who started Vew-Do - In the late 1980's. then snowboard instructor Brew Moscarello was
teaching students how to snowboard at Stratton Mountain Vermont when he realized most of his

How did it get the name - When Brew Moscarello first created and patented his concept of a
Performance Balance Board he was searching for a name to call it. At the time Brew's nickname
was Vew as a result of seven year old Paulie Fishman who lost his front teeth and couldn't say
Brew without it sounding like Vew. Naturally his friends started calling him Vew so when it came
time to name his product Vew-Do was the obvious choice according to his friend Emmit Manning of
Burton snowboards.

When did it start - Balance Board Riding started in the 1950's when a gentleman named Stanley
Washburn started making Balance boards for his daughter and her friends. In 1990 Brew
Moscarello started making Performance Balance Boards which took the old idea of a plank of wood
over a roller to new heights by building boards that could allow for huge ollies, kickflips, etc.
