The parable of the sheep and goats teaches us to BE COMPASSIONATE. We must not ignore the needs of the brothers, but be actively engaged in meeting these needs. It mentioned that the Son of Man (v. 31) has already come. He is identified as the King (v. 34). Notice that: (1) He came back in His glory; (2) with all the angels; (3) to sit on His throne; (4) to judge all the nations (panta ta ethne). 1. The charge of the King to the sheep 2.The censure of the King to the goats 3. Both sheep and goats were surprised by what the King said to them We are all saved by Gods grace, not by our good works. Compassion is the outcome/result/fruit of ones relationship with Christ. The Lord of compassion expects His followers to be people of compassion. There are so much needs among us. Just open your eyes and ears. And be compassionate. You are doing this for the King.
