Since time immemorial.Youth have appeared to advocate change through an uncondit ional license to have their way. often appearing to,in the process undervalue the importance of Control and guida nce. Can freedom be viewed as independent of responsibility ? What then is the true Meaning of Freedom when viewed from the perspective of res ponsibility towards ONESELF .?????? over a year ago Report Antony Raigan can u elaberate? over a year ago Report Vinita Upreti Tanu Pant Antony....I wanted to stimulate the minds of the youth with these real life dile mmas.....every soul craves to be free ...to be able to express oneself and to ab le to manifest what is within itself so as to achieve a feeling of fulfillment.. ......but often in the journey of life and the various stages of the growth of t he heart ,mind and the intellect ...their comes a crossroad type situation where ...the personal notions of freedom do not converge with the collective understa nding of the word freedom....... eg ...the youth today wants more individual freedom.....more individual privacy. ....less control and interference by the controlling authorities....... They think that they deserve it and that they can handle things and situations o n their own............................Though this manifestation of independence is commendable......and reassuring to their adult wellwishers ....but is that r eally the case.............is that freedom used in the right manner or to the de triment of the selves................... When we demand freedom.......are we ready for it......are we mature enough to un derstand what we are asking.......are we competent enough to handle the double e dged sword................... Do we realise that even the fastest car or the aeroplane .........has a brake .. alongside the accelerator..............(allegory)... Do we as the Youth of Today know where to locate that INTERNAL BRAKES within our hearts and minds.................. We as parents and teachers have no greater joy than witnessing the blossoming of our children ......not just physically ,mentally or parochial compartments of d evelopment.. ....but in a comprehensive. holistic ,total, encompassable state of EVOLUTION.......from being a Human to being a DIVINE BEING........... There is no STATIC condition in TIME and EVOLUTION......either we evolve or devo lve or stagnate.....................the question is ...how to we USE the FREEDOM to evolve .......and to EVOLVE POSITIVELY.... Thank you Antony for responding...... Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
