1.2 CONSULTANT’S EXPERTISE AND GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Design Planning & Management Consultants Ltd. (DPM) was established in 1987 as a
Consulting Engineering Firm. Since then the firm has been providing consulting services in
various sectors. By now it has gained high reputation as a specialised company working in
Water Resources, Roads, Bridges, Rural Infrastructures, High Rise Buildings, Silos,
Drainage, Water Supply and Sanitation, Environmental Engineering, Fisheries, Data Base
Management, Information Technology and Infrastructure Development Sectors.

DPM has now over 70 employees including a highly experienced team of multi disciplinary
professionals.

The management of the company attaches great importance in providing quality services to
the client. Its aim is to work towards fulfilment of quality assurance and complete the
projects within scheduled period in efficient manner. DPM has been working in association
with many well known and reputed international consulting firms and institutions in
projects funded by Government’s own resources, International Development Agencies and
Development Organisations, such as IDA, ADB, OPEC, Aus-Aid, JBIC, JICA, USAID,
WFP, DFID etc. for years with satisfaction of all concerned.

DPM is a member of the Bangladesh Association of Consulting Engineers (BACE). It is


registered under Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Islamic Development Bank (IDB).

Management

The overall management of DPM rests on a Board of Directors. All the Directors have
proven outstanding professional career with high level of management capabilities. The

Resources Development and Drainage, Water Supply & Sanitation, Environment,

• Design and Supervision of 110.0m RCC Arch Bridge Connecting Road No. 11 of Banani to
Road No. 41 of Gulshan over the Gulshan Lake- Under Local Government Engineering
Department (LGED). Financed by Government of Bangladesh, July 2007- February 2009
