ACTS 13 ; v 38-39; RECONCILIATION, 1, " Be it made known unto you, men and brethren," THE PROCLAMATION.

The call goes out as the disciples carry on the gospel message given to them by Jesus. LUKE 9 v 1-2 ; Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases. And He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. LUKE IO v 1-3 ; After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place whither He Himself would come. Therefore He said to them, the harvest truly is great but the labourers are few. Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest that He would send forth labourers into His harvest. Go your ways, behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. So as Christ's ministry on earth was about to finish He commanded that His message to sinners be carried around the world.. MATTHEW 28 v 19-20 ; Go you therefore and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Mark 16 v 15-16 And He said to them, Go you into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptised shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned. So the proclamation goes on telling one and all that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died and rose from the dead to offer reconciliation with God. 2. " Through this man is preached unto you,. " REVELATION JOHN 3 v 14-17 ; And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must the Son of man be lifted up, That whosoever believes in Me should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. The days of continual animal sacrifices are finished for when Jesus rose from the dead He became the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world The prophet Isaiah predicted the coming of Christ some seven hundred years before Jesus actually came to this earth. ISAIAH 9 v 6 ; For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given and the government shall be upon Ms shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God , the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Jesus came as the Son of God to reconcile the world to God. When Jesus went back to heaven .He promised His followers that He would send the Holy Spirit of God to comfort and guide and teach them, JOHN 14 v 16-17 ; And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that He may abide with you for ever Even the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him, but you know Him for He dwells with you and shall be in you, So the Christian has God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God to watch over us, and abide in unity with the Godhead . Each part of the Godhead has something to do with our salvation.. The forgiveness of sins." SALVATION; 2 CHRONICLES 7 v 14 ; If My people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face. and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and will heal their land. The tremendous offer by God is that we must turn away from serving satan repent of those sins and ask God to forgive our transgressions, through the Lord Jesus Christ. Then accept Christ as our Saviour and redeemer and meditate upon the word of God that we might know God better and follow His commandments. Thus by living the Christlike life we will avoid the penalty of those who rebel against God, the eternal torment in the lake of fire and brimstone. I JOHN I v 9 ; If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. PSALM 15 v 1-2 ; Lord, who shall abide in Your tabernacle, who shall abide in Your holy hill ? He that

walks uprightly and works righteously and speaks the truth in his heart. ACTS 5 v 30-32 ; The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you slew and hanged on a tree. Him has God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things and so also is the Holy Ghost whom God has given to them that obey Him. 4. " And by Him all that believe. " PARTICIPATION; ACTS 16 v 30-31 ; And brought them out and said, Sirs, what must we do to be saved ? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved and your house. ACTS 18 v 8 ; And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue believed on the Lord with all his house and many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptised. ACTS 2 v 38-39 ; Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gifts of the Holy Ghost, for the promise is unto you and your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. To believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God does not mean just a mental agreement but rather that one commits his life to God to follow the standards laid down in the Scriptures. To approach God in prayer firmly convinced that He answers the prayers of His family and cares for every Christian ACTS 3 v 26 ; Unto you first, God having raised up His Son Jesus, sent Him to bless you in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. ACTS 4 v 12 ; Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven, given among men whereby we must be saved. 5. " We are justified from all things. " JUSTIFICATION ; With the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our redeemer we are reconciled to God. with separation from all that displeases God and turning to those things which please God, We then have new Master to serve, Thus the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin and we then have a new term, Justification, Just as if I had never sinned. God forgives our sins and then forgets them. PSALM 103 v 12 ; As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. ISAIAH 38 v 17 ; You have in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption for you have cast all my sins behind Your back. MICAH 7 v 19; He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us. He will subdue our iniquities and You will cast all their sins into the depth of the sea. PLEASURE in Forgiveness. PSALM 31 v 1-2 ; Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. PSALM 103 v 3-4 ; Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who heals all your diseases Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies.. 6. " For which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. " CONDEMNATION. The Old Testament tells us the Israelites were continually offering up sin offerings on the altar for forgiveness of their sins. But they were frequently disobedient to God and worshipped heathen gods. Today, Jesus Christ has been offered up as a once only needed sacrifice for the sins of the world. JOHN I v 29 ; The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world.. However people are still rejecting God's gift of salvation and are worshipping heathen gods.. God has a destination for those people who reject Jesus Christ REVELATION 14 v 9-11 ; And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice If any man worship the beast and his image and receives his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wrath of the wine of God poured out without measure into the cup of His indignation, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of His holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascended up for ever and ever and they have no rest day nor night who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receives the mark of his name.

But there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. HEBREWS 13 v 20-21 , Now the God of peace that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will., working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. v 15-16 ; By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But to do good and communicate forget not, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Draw me, draw me, draw me blessed Saviour Into Your presence let me see Your face. Draw me, Draw me, draw me blessed Saviour I can come to You by Your great grace.
