THE PATTERN: l CORINTHIANS 1 v 2; Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus,

called with all them that in every place call upon the Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours. EPHESIANS 5 v 1-2a; Be you therefore followers of God as dear children walk in love as Christ also has loved us, and for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a savour. The PERSON, PURPOSE, PLAN, PARTITION, PRACTICE, PRIZE. The PERSON; The repentant sinner, tired and frustrated by a life of sin, turns to God, seeking forgiveness from God through Jesus Christ. Now having his heart prepared and sealed by the Holy Spirit, this born again believer is ready to step out on a new adventure as he commits his life to Jesus. He is ready to be moulded into the Christ like life. ACTS 17 v 30; And the times of this ignorance God winked at, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. JEREMIAH 18 v 8 ; If that nation against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil way, I will repent of the evil I thought to do unto them. So the start of the pattern making must be through a genuine repentance, and forgiveness by God, then a willingness to allow Jesus to take control of our lives. Have Thine own way Lord, have Thine own way. Mould me and make me after Thy will, While I am waiting, yielded and still. LEVITICUS 20 v 7-8 ; Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy, for 1 am the Lord your God , And you shall keep My statutes and do them, I am the Lord which sanctify you. The PURPOSE : To have one's life moulded into the characteristics of Jesus. JOHN 14 v 23 ; Jesus answered and said unto them, If a man love Me he will keep My words, and My Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him. Our purpose is surely to become mature Christians and minister to lost souls and needy people. PETER 2 v 9 ; But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. What greater purpose can we have in this life than to serve Jesus and be a faithful witness for Him. So we start from the beginning with a genuine desire to know God and walk with Him. We desire to know the Godhead and experience their love and guidance, that we might spread abroad the love of Jesus. to be saints; name of Jesus . ROMANS 5 v 5 ; And hope makes not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord to Thee. Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise. The PLAN; Regular reading of the Bible. Prayer. The Holy Spirit and the gifts. The inner witness. PROVERBS 2 v 1-5;; My son, if you will receive My words, and hide My commandments with you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding, Yes if you cry after knowledge and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hid treasure, then shall you understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. From the Scriptures comes the awareness that God is pleased to talk with us and to have us pray to Him, as Jesus did. The PRAYER; We can praise God for providing our daily needs. We can praise Him for sending His Son to Calvary's Cross to redeem us from satan's bondage over us. We can praise Him for His promise of Eternal life. We have so much to thank the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, for and the Holy Ghost helps us in our prayers to God. ROMANS 8 v 26; Likewise the Holy Spirit helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot uttered.

We can pray for others as Jesus did. EPHESIANS 1 v 17-18; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling , and what the riches of His glory of His inheritance in the saints. The HOLY SPIRIT: Just as Jesus was baptised in the Holy Spirit and went forth anointed into His ministry, so the disciple who commits his life to Jesus needs to be baptised with the Holy Spirit and receive the gifts of the Spirit to go forth and works in his or her ministry. The power of the indwelling Holy Spirit is essential if we are to become mature Christians, with a faithful witness and loyalty to Jesus. How else can we produce the fruit of the Spirit. GALATIANS 5 v 22; For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness against such there is no law. The Holy Spirit guides us and will reveal to us the truth of the scriptures. The Inner Witness. This comes as we absorb the readings of the Bible and begin to understand its meaning. When someone asks a question or has a problem the answer is always found In the Bible. If we do not read the Scriptures then we cannot give a Christian answer, The Holy Spirit also prompts us when we need His help. The more we meditate on the word of God the better will be our knowledge and understanding of the Godhead. What we should say when we get a question or problem, Is what would Jesus do here ? the Holy Spirit will bring to our memory the verse needed. PROVERBS 9 v 10; The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom , and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. PROVERBS 3 v 5-6; Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Let us have Christian fellowship with other Christians who reverence the name of Jesus. Hebrews 10 v2 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching. The PARTITION ; To be a true disciple of Christ's and a friend of God, the believer must make an honest commitment of life to Jesus. This will also mean a complete coming out of the evilness that the world can offer the young believer. God will fill any gap left in the life of the believer by such obedience. We cannot become Christ like with sin raging in our heart 2 CORINTHIANS 6 v 16-18; And what agreement has the temple of God with Idols, for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them and walk In them and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Wherefore come out from amongst them and be separate says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you, and will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. Only an honest and sincere commitment to read a portion of Scripture each day, meditate upon It and speak to God in prayer will bring you to Christian maturity. Practice living each day as guided by the Holy Spirit All to Jesus I surrender, all to Him I freely give. I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live. All to Jesus I surrender, now I feel the sacred flame 0 the joy of ful1 salvation, Glory, glory to His name. No room for apathy here, Jesus does not want a half moulded Christian. To be Christ like, the believer needs to be sincerely and fully committed to living daily for Jesus, and be an ambassador for Him in this sin sick world. Let us also have fellowship with other Christians who reverence the name of Jesus Christ. The PRACTICE: Each day is a commitment to read a portion of Scripture, meditate upon it and give thanks to God In prayer and praise. Then go about our daily routine witnessing for Jesus Christ as the opportunity arises, and showing forth the love of Jesus for the sinner and the needy. EPHESIANS 4 v 1-2; I therefore the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you are called. With all lowliness and meekness with longsuffering , forbearing one another in love, endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit In the bond of peace. The more we practice Christianity in our lives, the stronger we will become in wisdom, understanding and witnessing to Jesus. King of my life I crown Thee now, Thine shall the glory be. Lest I forget Thy thorn crowned Brow , Lead me to Calvary. May I be willing Lord , to bear daily my Cross for Thee Even the cup of grief to share, Thou hast born all for me. MATTHEW 5 v 48; Be you therefore perfect even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. The PRIZE: The promise from Jesus for all who claim Him as Lord and Saviour, for eternal life with Him. We have forgiveness of confessed sin and peace of mind. ISAIAH 26 v 3; Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind Is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in Thee. JOHN 14 v 27; Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. There are so many wonderful blessings tha/t we will receive, (and have received ) as we become bondservants to Jesus. And as If to keep us humble LUKE 17 v 10; says . So likewise when you have done all these things, which are commanded you, say, we are unprofitable servants, we have done that which was our duty to do. Our hearts will surely rejoice when we hear Jesus say, Well done thou good and faithful servant.
