*VERY IMPORTANT SENIOR INFORMATION

Dear Seniors and Parents of Seniors,

Senior Portraits
Wednesday/Thursday, September 21/22, 2011 and Thursday, October 27, 2011 are the last Senior Portrait Days. If you have not had your Senior Portrait taken yet, see Mr. Shumpert in Room D130 to make sure that your name is on the appointment list. If you are having your Senior Picture taken by someone other than Lifetouch, please bring the picture on a CD to Mr. Shumpert by November 4, 2011. That is the deadline for all pictures to be included in the 2012 Yearbook.

Senior Space
There will be a separate section in the yearbook for your accomplishments/activities and a space for you to fill with something personal. The space measures 1.5 in. x 1.75in. (3.81cm x 4.45cm) in size and is available to every student with a senior portrait. So, what can you do with this space? You can submit a quote, a baby picture, favorite picture, picture of your car, a personal drawing. Copyrighted material (Song lyrics, photographs, comics, etc.) may not be used. How will you represent your high school experience? What sentiment do you want to keep? Space and accomplishment submissions are due to Mr. Shumpert by December 2, 2011. We cannot guarantee any publication of personal material after this date.

Senior Ads
SENIOR AD PAGES are available for purchase as a graduation gift or a note of well-wishing for your graduating senior. This space can be filled as you like with photos, quotes, and personal messages. Full and partial pages are available on a first come, first serve basis. Due to our strict publication deadlines, submissions cannot be accepted after the due date. Ads are available in one quarter, one half or a full page in the yearbook (pages are roughly 9x12 and in full color). You may be as creative as you like in this space. Your ad will be sent directly to our publishing company, so it must be submitted in final form (ready to be scanned or uploaded without editing or arrangement). NO CHANGES will be made to your ad after submission. If you would like to purchase an ad, we must have your payment to hold your spot no later than December 2, 2011. The actual ad is due no later than December 16, 2011. Place all CDs, portraits, photos, and quotes in an envelope with your son or daughters name on it in clear block letters. Make sure all original photos and CDs have your name on them. Place the envelope in Mr. Shumperts mailbox in the front office. Hints and answers to frequently asked questions regarding the senior ad: All senior ads are printed in full color. Proportions for a full yearbook page are for a 9x12 sheet of paper, but remember to allow for margins (usually 5-10 photos) page approximately 9 x 6 (usually 1-6 photos) page approximately 4.5 x 6(usually 1-2 photos) Digital photo or layout submissions (on CD or in an email) are the BEST, but we would like a hard copy print as a back up. All digital photo submissions must be a .pdf, .tif or .jpg file. Photos will be returned after yearbooks are sent off to print. If you cannot wait that long, or do not want to risk an irreplaceable family photo, consider submitting a photoquality copy they often look just as good. Regular Xerox copies of pictures typically do NOT copy well. Photo collages also usually do not turn out well. When in doubt, look at ads placed in previous yearbooks and decide what you like or submit your photos and desired text and the yearbook staff will create the ad for you.
