Dear ILties, In the local newspaper I saw info about performing Kubera Pooja and Kubera Slokam. I am sharing it with you all... Kubera Slokam Manuja Vakya Vimana Varasthikam Garuda Rathna Nibam nidhi Thayakam Siva saka murudathi vibooshidham varagatham dhanatham baja thunthilam Om yakshaya kuberaya Vaiswaranaaya Dhanadhanyathi pathaye dhanadhanya samruththimme Dehi Dabaya swaha Method: On Fridays / Tuesdays - clean a wooden plate and draw the kubera kolam with rice flour. Place the kolam in front of the Kuberar. Kubera kolam is already discussed in this site. Any how I am giving it. 27 20 25 22 24 26 23 28 21 Draw this kolam in a square and in each square write the above nos. Take 9 coins and put each coin on the no. with the coin value facing the no. Put red colour flower on each coin and 2 flowers on Kuberar. Lit a small light and fragrant vathis and sambranis(Computer Sambrani can also be used). Chant the above mantras for 11 times. Red colour is flower to be used for Kuberar. Try to the pooja on every friday / tuesdays.

All the money related worries will be diminishing and there will be uniform flow of cash. I am doing this regularly and now I am very much relieved. I wish all the ILties to do the pooja and have the blessings of Kuberar.

LAKSHMI KUBERA POOJA POOJA VIDHI

A clean cloth and over it a plantan leaf should be spread on a wooden plank. Over that a Vinayaga form (Triangular) made in Turmeric Powder with a little water is to be kept. By its side a kalasa field with water mangoleaves and Coconut on top with Kumkum, Chandan applied should be kept. Pushpammala should be put on the Kalasha. Arthi shoud be performed. For the Naivedhaya (offering) Sugar of jaggery is enough. Once should not get up from the pooja in the middle. This is very important. Kumbha is Lakshmi kubera and the Turmeric Powder form Ganesha. If done with devotion surely good result will follow. During `Sindhuland Civilisation Kubera was on of the Guards of eight dishas. If kubera is workshiped there will be raise in the life standard and wealth be received. Comforts and developments will also occur. If the name of Kubera is chanted regularly it will result in well being. If worshipped then Money good results will follow. In Mount Thiruvannamalai "Girivallam" is very famous. In its north side Kubera is in the form of linga. Lot of devotees worship there. As we know we require money for everything. It is given by Kubera only. In Buddhism also Kubera is mentioned very highly. Kubera is seen in "Bengsuvi" Vasthusastra He is seen in standing posture with hands raised. With a smiling face and fat belly. There also he is in the north side only. At Kulalambur there is a Golden statue for Buddha. It will be good if Buddha's statue is kept in our houses in the north side. For a eternal life Kubera's Grace is required. Why should we be left behind?

When Kubera went to Kailasam once to have a darshan of Lord Shiva, he found Him with Goddess Parvathi. Kubera was stunned to see the splendour and beauty of Goddess Parvathi. He felt sorry that he had not worshipped such a fine goddess for so long and one of his eyes shut itself. Goddess Parvathi got angry that Kubera was winking at Her, and looking at Her with evil intention. She made his eye burst. Kubera lost sight in one eye and was also cursed that he would always look ugly. Lord Kubera pleaded with Lord Siva to forgive him and explained that he had not seen the Goddess with any evil intention. Lord Siva left the choice to His consort. Goddess Parvathi forgave Kubera and let the eye grow back, but it was smaller than the other one. So one eye of Kubera is smaller than the other. Kubera was rewarded by Lord Siva with the post of being one of the guards of the eight directions - the North. The Goddess made him the lord of wealth and material. As the God of wealth and material, his responsibilities are to distribute them while creating wealth is with Goddess Lakshmi. Kubera is mostly painted with his family and seen showering gold coins and navaratnas. Performing pooja to Lord Kubera is believed to enrich one's life. To have a wealthy and comfortable life, one has to perform Sri Lakshmi Kubera Pooja. Lord Balaji or Venkateswara at Thirupathi is said to have Borrowed money form Kubera for his marrige and he is still paying the interest on the loan amount. Hence it would seem that lord Venkateswara will be in protection during the ashadmasa Kubera Mantra "Om Yakshyaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaaya Dhanadhanyadi Padayeh Dhana-Dhanya Samreeddhing Me Dehi Dapaya Swaha" Meaning: Kubera, the lord of yakshas, bless us with wealth and prosperity.
