Learning Plan

Topic: Talking about occupation ambition.

Strategy: P P P. Learning Approach

Step One: Presentation stage

Introduction of new vocabulary / language structure

A: New Vocabularies
- Use realia , flashcards , pictures , drawing , mime / gesture , etc. to elicit the
vocabularies from students.
- Model consistently 3 times .
- Chorus with whole class.
- Choose 3/4 random individual students and correct any erros.
- Model again as you write it on the board.
- Use the same process for all lexis.

- occupation = picture / drawing
- ambition = mime / gesture
- want = mime / gesture
- future = picture / drawing , mime / gesture
- doctor = picture / drawing
- dream = picture / drawing , mime / gesture
- job = picture / drawing

B: Language structure

Present Simple Tense

Tense Structure: Subject + Verb 1 + Object / Complement


This learning plan functional : Use for the idea in present time .
Ex: My sister wants to be a nurse.
S + V1 + C

Step Two: Practice Stage (Dialogue)

- 4 line dialogue incorporating language structure and some of the lexis pre – taught.
- Drilled in complets.
- Teacher / Teacher* 3 times. Model the dialogue , slowly but naturally using A/B
cards. ( T/T )
- Students chorus *3 times.
- Check A with 3/4 students. ( T/S ) ( If the student makes any mistake on missing
words or pronunciation , teacher helps for correction immediately )
- Check B with 3/4 students. ( S/T )
- Give student A/B card and teacher keeps one with 3/4 students. (T/S , S/T )
- Give both cards out to students: 3/4 students. ( S/S )
- Divide in half ( may be boys : girls ) and give one cards each 3/4 times.
- Write the dialogue on the board. The teacher models and the students chorus again.

Practiced Dialogue

Jane : What do you want to be in the future ?


John: A doctor. It’s my dream job.
Jane: Why ?
John: I think it can help people.

Step Three: Production Stage

- Each student draws and paints picture about his/her own occupation ambition in
A4 paper. And then writes a dialogue below as the example learning before but
uses his/her own idea follows the picture drawing above.
- Each student finds his/her partner to do a pair work activities asking and answering
about their ambitions.
- Each student hands in his/her work to the teacher.
- Students do a pair work test.
