A shop primer for steel based on alkyd resins pigmented with red oxide. This paint is intended as adhesion primer for use on a wide range of plants, vessels, equipment and structural steel in rural and semi industrial atmospheres. For interior and exterior use. Lead and chromate free. Good temporary corrosion preventing properties. Economical. Alkyd resin 483 % 1.380.05 gr/ml Dry Film Thickness 40-60 micron Wet Film Thickness 85-125 micron

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean and dry. Clean surfaces thoroughly to remove all dirt, grease oil, and any other foreign matter by using a stiff brush and /or clean rags wet with mineral spirits. All areas by resulting, blistering, etc.should be cleaned by appropriate methods and spot primed. If the surface shows more than 25% failure or poor adhesion, all old coatings should be removed and a full prime system applied.

Application condition

In condition of high relative humidity i.e. 80-85% good ventilation conditions are essential. Substrate temperature should be at least 3 C above dew point. At application temperatures below 10C drying times will be signicantly extended and spraying characteristics may be impaired. Application at temperature below 5C is not recommended.

This material is one component coating and should always be mixed thoroughly with a power agitator before application. This product may cause irritation of the skin and/or mucous membranes in persons Take precautions to avoid skin and eye contact Always wear gloves, goggles, face mask, suitable working clothes and use of a good, quality skin barrier cream is recommended before starting work. Provide adequate ventilation. If this product comes in contact with the skin, wash thoroughly with warm water and soap or suitable industrial cleaner. Eyes are particularly sensitive, if the material is accidentally splashed into the eyes, ush immediately with plenty of warm water and obtain medical attention without delay. Headache and dizziness indicate you are being affected by solvent fume. Move into the fresh air and allowed to recover gradually. Since these products contain ammable materials, keep away from sparks, open ames and do not smoke in the area. Use only equipment incorporating explosion protection
