CMSU SEPTEMBER 2011 MINUTES 10,000 TREES the goal is to plant 10,000 trees in our various communities by Earth Day 2012. Northeast Tree Tenders is a voluntary organization that can help in our efforts including providing you with a free tree. (website http://netreetenders.com/) OLAVE BADEN-POWELL SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING - May 16-20, 2012 GSEP is hosting their annual meeting at the Hyatt Regency in Philadelphia. Council is looking for some volunteers to play a supporting role.
These events are still in the planning stage and more information will follow including details as to cost. Our Service Unit is planning events for the 100 Anniversary as well. We are looking at having an outdoor event at Lorimer Park that will include food, activities, etc to be scheduled in April or May of 2012. It was suggested that participants bring a food donation that will be donated to a food bank. QSP - - - - permission form needed for each girl participating in the sale troop receives 75 cents for each nut or candy unit sold, 10% of magazine sales, and $3 for each coupon book of 10 addresses completed sale runs from 9/19/2011 to 10/24/2011 Troop orders need to be entered via the website by 10/17 at www.ashdonfarmsnut.com and to Donna at the next service unit meeting on 10/17.
