including this unique component as part of its programme.

Established in 1st April 2003, ROVADAN TRUST( Rotary Vapi Dang Development
Trust), a non-governmental development organization was born out of the need for
betterment and upliftment of the indigenous communities of Dang District in Gujarat
with a mission to improve the quality of lives of tribal population of Dang through rural
reconstruction.

Objective and scope of study


The objective of the study was to understand the organization as a whole and various
dynamics involved in it. These would encompass understanding and documenting
organisation’s present structure, its people, its systems and procedures, work culture of
the organization, its environment, various activities and processes involves and its future
plans.

Methodology and Sources of data


The primary sources of data were semi structured interviews, open ended discussions,
direct and indirect observations, interactions with stakeholders and secondary data
sources consist of various documents available in the organization.

Major Findings

To look after, manage and supervise the activities of Dang Development Project the
organisation has formed a board of trustees who have elected a chairman to head and
monitor all the functioning of the NGO. The Chairman has been entrusted with all the
powers starting from decision making to finance. To manage the operation of the
organisation a manager is there and other employees have been recruited for various
activities. Currently organisation is involved in SHG training programme, Wadi Project,
Agricultural Activities, Education and Health Programme for the tribal across the district.
And for every activity it has different individuals to look after it and he or she is
accountable for that work. Decision making in the organisation is centralized, Low in
complexity and moderate degree of formalization. Organisation is moving with a short
term strategy. Presence of Routine Technology. The employees are specialist in there field
and all are professionally educated.

The organisation has very good rapport with Government authority and other
stakeholders Funds are mostly Government Project’s fund. It was realized showed how
internalization of the value of the organization and self monitoring and motivate
employee to work.
