What Will Be Sodom's Fate?

Mike,

Me again. Ok, what about sodom? It was destroyed with fire, and they are all dead. I don't see anyone
from that time resurrected in scriptures after they learned their lesson from the lake of fire.

Hi M____

The lake of fire has not yet been implemented. The lake of fire is fueled by the false doctrines of
mankind's fertile imagination as mankind is eaten for lunch by the serpent.
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of
it wast thou taken: for dust thou [art], and unto dust shalt thou return.

Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art]
cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust
shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Snakes do not eat dust, but Satan does "devour whom he may."

1 Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh
about, seeking whom he may devour:
Since you have mentioned Sodom, you need to note what Christ has to say about Sodom at the
time of the resurrection.
Matt 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and
Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Matt 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell:
for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have
remained until this day.
Matt 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the
day of judgment, than for thee.

Mark 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off
the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more
tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Luke 10:12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for
that city.
The men of Sodom will fare better in the symbolic lake of fire than will those who teach the false
doctrine of literal eternal hell-fire. Sodom was burned with fire. Both Jerusalem and Sodom were
burned with unquenchable fire, but neither Jerusalem nor Sodom are still burning. Unquenchable
fire burns until there is no more fuel. Unquenchable fire burns until it destroys whatever serves
as fuel for the fire.
Jer 17:27 But if ye [Jerusalem] will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to
bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a
fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be
quenched.
2 Pet 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an
overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
If the unquenchable fires that destroyed the palaces of Jerusalem have long ago burned out, why
cannot the fuel of the lake of fire also destroy and burn out all the wood, hay and stubble in the
lives of all sinners? The answer is that that is exactly what will happen. Then that sinner will
"suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved."
1 Cor 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it
shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1 Cor 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1 Cor 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be
saved; yet so as by fire.
I hope this helps you to see what is the function of a loving Father. "Our God is a consuming
fire." As those implementing the purging work of judging angels and men in the lake of fire, we,
too, will be "like Him:"

1 Cor 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be
judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1 Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this
life?
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but
we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
According to orthodox Christian doctrine, the resurrection of the dead is less than useless since it
is just a redundant ritual, affirming what was already accomplished at the moment of death. But
according to Christ, Sodom will fair better in the judgment than will those who deny His words.
According to God's Word all sinners will "be saved...by fire."
