ADVERTISEMENT NO. 2 OF 2011 The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Manipur and Mizoram, a statutory body constituted under an act of Parliament, invites applications in the prescribed format for filling up of 1(one) post of Assistant Chief (Finance) in the scale of pay of Rs.15,600 Rs.39,100/- + Rs. 6,600/- GP on deputation including shortterm contract basis from employees of the Central/State Governments/ Public Sector Undertaking /Autonomous Bodies. The details of the post and terms and conditions of deputation can be seen from the Commission website ie: www.jerc.mizoram.gov.in . The application shall be addressed to the Secretary, JERC (M&M) and will be received upto 4th November, 2011. Applications received after the above specified date will summarily be rejected. The application must be submitted through proper channel. The sponsoring authorities are requested to forward the applications of eligible and interested candidates whose service can be spared in the event of their selection. While forwarding applications, attested copies of atleast 5 (five) years ACRs of the candidates concerned may also be enclosed in a sealed envelope. (A. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF DEPUTATION INCLUDING SHORT-TERM CONTRACT TO THE JERC (M&M) 1. Name of post: Assistant Chief (Finance) 2. Pay scale & Grade Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + Rs. 6,600/- GP 3. Minimum educational qualification: MBA in finance or certified Chartered Accountant or certified Cost Accountant preferably with Engineering Degree. 4. Nature of Experience required: Tariff formulation or cost analysis or financial management. 5. Required Qualifying Service: Officers under Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies. i. ii. iii. Holding analogous post on regular basis; or With 5 years regular service in the scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + Rs. 5,400/- GP or equivalent; or With 6 years combined regular service in the scale of Rs. 9,300-34,800/- + Rs. 4,800/- GP or equivalent; or iv. With 8 years regular service in the scale of Rs. 9,300-34,800/- + Rs. 4,600 GP or equivalent.

6. Pay and Allowance: Pay, allowances and other conditions of service shall be governed in accordance with the Central Government Rules and other general orders/instructions/guidelines issued by the Central Government from time to time, in respect of comparable officers in each grade. 7. Medical facilities: Medical facilities shall be admissible in accordance with the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (Medical facilities) Regulations as may be notified by the Commission separately. 8. Period of Deputation: The normal period of deputation is 3 (three) years and is extendable as required by the Commission. 9. Age limit: The maximum age limit for deputation shall be 55 years. 10. Place of posting: Aizawl, Mizoram. 11. Accommodation: The Commission will make a request to the Government of Mizoram for allotment of entitled quarters, failing which the concerned staff will have to make their own arrangement. 12. Mode of Application: Application in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-I duly countersigned by the competent authority shall be submitted addressed to the Secretary, JERC (M&M) on or before the 4th of November, 2011. 13. Mode of Selection: All applications will be scrutinised and eligible candidates will be called for personal interview in the office of the JERC (M&M). 14. Journey Expenses: To be borne by the candidate.
