Before Customer related information dispersed across different applications :
Inefficient information retrieval because of partly redundant and in some cases incomplete or inconsistent customer data: The potential of a customer could not be fully utilized, due to lack of consistent and complete customer view across all lines of business

After Single customer view by integrating various legacy systems with SAP CRM based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Single customer view, contact history and sales leadership information improve sales efficiency and increase cross selling potential. Improved lead management and direct marketing efficiency by integrated marketing campaigns and automatic lead generation.

With SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 we are able to meet today's integration requirements in a heterogeneous IT landscape and to move forward on our SOA roadmap. SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 provides the functionality and scalability needed to integrate our legacy world with SAP on an enterprise level.

Change in Retail

Competitive market with a great number of competitors in every region of the country

The company needs to adapt constantly to changes driven by the industry and also by the customers (improved and new services and products)
Daily business operation changes frequently, mainly in sales, logistics and payment areas. Business innovation requires that IT has a dynamic platform to provide solutions on time and on budget Operation problems because business data were not updated caused customer complaints

SAP AG 2009. All rights reserved. Solution Management SOA Middleware SAP NetWeaver Process Integration / Page 19

Improve Process Accuracy SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 Live @ CARSA Red Megatone
Challenges and Opportunities Need to improve and adopt new services for customers in a fast and effective way Daily operation changes frequently, mainly in sales, logistics and payment areas Objectives Improve employee productivity via tailored application Eliminate delays between the POS and the logistic system to provide accurate data to the business and offer a better purchase experience to the customer Business process optimization
100% Real Time Information No delays, 100% Data Accuracy

Benefits
Master data, pricing and conditions are now centralized in SAP ERP and not replicated in both systems (SAP ERP & POS) as previously implemented Stock information is updated in real time, in both systems (SAP and POS). Previously business objects were updated every 3 or 12 hours, depending of which data was transferred and the number of transactions. Operation problems because business data were not updated were eliminated. Example: Selling goods that were not available in the warehouse, pricing differences, etc.
