Biofuels are easy-burn fuel produced from biomass. These fuels are usually in the form of alcohols, esters, and other chemicals produced from biomass. The Australian researcher had found that second-generation biofuels such as those produced from algae are the best alternatives to change the former sources of biofuel like corn and soy bean. Today, the usage of biofuels is increasing rapidly. According to Wayne, the environmentalist states that, As environmental awareness is increasing, more drivers are turning to biofuels.(Wayne,2011)1. This indicates that nowadays people are more conscious about the nature. There are many advantages of biofuel such as it reduces the effect of pollution, can be used by all gasoline operated vehicles and decreases the level of carbon dioxide. Firstly, biofuel reduces the effect of pollution. Biofuels are often considered to be a more environmentally responsible type of fuel compared to other fossil fuel products. Biofuels produce less carbon output and fewer toxins, making them a safer alternative to preserve atmospheric quality and lower air pollution. As stated by Rosalyn Page, Biofuel can reduce levels of toxins from car exhausts and greenhouse gas emissions.(R. Page,2010)2.It shows that biofuel can be a big step towards eradicating environmental issues and reducing health problem.

Secondly, biofuel can be used by all gasoline operated vehicles. Former gasoline vehicles can run on biofuel blends as high as 85% with slight alterations. Biofuel provides lower carbon emissions without the need to purchase a hybrid vehicle. According to Naveed Jafry, the head of Zeon Global Energy, This fuel, which burns cleaner than petroleum-based fuel, are used by most diesel engines without any need for conversion.(N. Jafry, 2008)3.This explains that no special vehicles needed if they decided to use biofuel as their primary sources. Lastly, biofuel also can reduce the level of carbon dioxide produced by the vehicles. It shows that CO2 gases are greatly produced by the vehicles. Therefore, effective measures should be taken to overcome this problem. Stephen Whittaker, the managing director of Cheshire-based ESL Biofuels stated that, The uses of biofuels in the UK are helping many local council and environmentally-aware private businesses achieve and exceed their carbonreduction targets. (S. Whittaker, 2008)4.This means that biofuels actually have help people in reducing production of CO2 gases. In conclusion, there are many advantages of biofuel. Biofuel can decrease the effect of pollution, can be used by all gasoline vehicles and reduce the level of carbon dioxide. Therefore, people should start to use biofuel as it can bring huge benefits compared to other types of fuel. (316 words)
