Evolution?

1. What is evolution? - Evolution: change over time in one or two more traits in populations of organisms. - The cause of evolution. There are two types of causes of evolutions: - natural selection * What is natural selection? - gene drift * What is gene drift? - Evolution characteristic: Will happen but in random and not predictable.

2. The origin of life. 3. Human evolution: Does modern human share the same ancestry with apes nowadays?

- What are hominids? - hominids are ancient primates that include human (ancestry). right? - The known hominids fossils? Wrong questions.

The hypothesis of human evolution (hypothesis here means the human evolution that said share the same ancestry with apes, is proposed by seeing human fossils found, but because there are still many fossils found and often not proposed of human evolution reproven when another fossils found, the human evolution are still a scientific 'proposal', that mean has not yet proven but has yet nonproven. So until the theory reproven, or proven, the general belief is that indeed human or modern human share same ancestry with apes, only branched from the lines at 57 million years ago (...Scientists have estimated that humans branched off from their common ancestor with

chimpanzees about 57 million years ago), and the genus homo, from modern human diverged from other hominids, exactly from Australopithecines about 2.3 to 2.4 millions years in Africa). (wikipedia's Human Evolution).

- The first deviation from hominids (the ancestry shared by primates and humans), is homo habilis, the first deviations from Australopithecines, one of the hominids. so what are hominids?

- The first modern human? - Lucy (from Africa). - Homo erectus: Homo erectus was the first human ancestor to walk truly upright. They may have used fire to cook their meat. Mostly found in Java, Indonesia, Homo Erectus considered to be intermediate between that of humans and apes. Homo Erectus is the name for Homo Erectus that populated Asia, while Homo Erectus populated Europe called H. ergaster).

- Modern humans called homo sapiens, modern human that live now called homo sapiens sapiens. Archaic Homo sapiens evolved between 400,000 and 250,000 years ago.

- Will human evolve again? say in another 1 millions years?

WE ARE NOT DESCENDANTS OF MONKEYS (CHIMPANZEE) BUT WE ARE IN THE SAME TRIBE OF HOMIDAE ACCORDING TO BIOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATIONS! IT'S THE SAME AS SAYING THAT HUMAN OR MANUSIA IS BASICALLY FROM THE KINGDOM OF ANIMALIA!

Lesson Plan: 1. Human TImeline: Presented by using the lesson plan using the world map. - Form groups, each group have their own 4 paper world map. and give them small pieces of paper to write upon it the name of the species involve in the human evolution from Austrophitecus to homo sapiens sapiens and also small pieces of paper to write the years. Then you are doing the presentation,

where you are explaining the 'human' species involved in the human evolution, randomly not according to the timeline, and while you are explaining you have to ask them to write: 1. their names, their places where their fossils were found and the year they live. After you finish the presentation, ask them in groups to correctly pin up where the fossils found on the world map (the world map are blanks, they have to find where australia, where africa by themselves) and their time.

2. Discussion: so where we should place our believe that human descendant from Adam and Hawa not from the human evolution Scientist, at least archeologist and palenothologist around the world believe.

Materials to prepare: as the answer sheet)

- 2x2 world map (4 copies, 1 1x1 copies for yourself

- thumbtack each will have 10 - Colored pencils, buy the cheapest, 4 - what else?
